Position Summary
Executive Jet Management (EJM) is actively seeking highly qualified and experienced Second in Command (SIC) pilots to operate a Challenger 3500 aircraft. This vital position is based at Allegheny County Airport (KAGC) in Allegheny, PA, supporting a three-pilot account under Part 135 flight operations, complemented by dedicated Maintenance Technician support. The SIC is instrumental in ensuring the paramount safety and welfare of all passengers, demonstrating comprehensive proficiency in cabin safety protocols, elite customer service, aircraft cabin systems, and all abnormal and emergency procedures. The SIC reports directly to the Chief Pilot for overall performance and to the assigned Pilot in Command (PIC) for specific trip duties, contributing significantly to the safe and efficient conduct of all flight assignments.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform all pilot duties strictly in accordance with the Company General Operations Manual (GOM), Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Regulations, Operations Specifications, and Flight Manuals.
- Uphold the company’s commitment to safety, security, and quality through continuous compliance with the Safety Management System (SMS) program, reporting any recommendations or non-compliance observations via appropriate channels.
- Execute post-flight duties for the aircraft interior, including but not limited to, removal of cockpit debris, ice, coffee, and catering, and reporting any interior equipment discrepancies to the PIC.
- Coordinate and procure necessary cabin items, including catering, as identified by the Flight Operations Center.
- Deliver the highest level of customer service at all times to ensure an exceptional passenger experience.
- Manage and coordinate all work schedules and schedule changes with the Chief Pilot.
- Accurately log and report flight and duty times.
- Report all commercial flying performed outside the company to the Flight Operations Center for inclusion in official Flight and Duty Time Records.
- Ensure the Flight Operations Training Department receives a current copy of the First Class Medical Certificate by the twentieth (20th) of the month due.

Qualifications and Requirements
Candidates for the Second in Command pilot position should possess the following attributes and meet the specified requirements:
- A minimum of 2-4 years of relevant aviation experience.
- Demonstrated strong prioritizing and organizational skills, with the capacity to manage multiple high-priority tasks simultaneously.
- Proven proactive decision-making abilities.
- Must maintain a valid First Class Medical Certificate.
- Ability to obtain an FAA Type rating in the applicable Challenger 3500 fleet type.
- Commitment to upholding service standards within a strict and dynamic regulatory environment.
- Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
- Preference will be given to local candidates possessing relevant type ratings and experience with similar aircraft sizes.
Minimum Flight Time Requirements:
- Total flight time: 2500 hours
- Multi-Engine Land (MEL): 500 hours
- Pilot in Command (PIC): 500 hours
- Instrument: 150 hours
- Jet: 250 hours
- Turbine Engine: 100 hours
- Time in Type: 50 hours
Compensation
EJM offers a highly competitive annual salary for this Second in Command position. The base salary range for Small/Mid/Supermid cabin size aircraft is $115,000 - $125,000.
