ExecuJet Middle East invites applications for the position of PIC – Bombardier Global 5000 VFD within its Flight Operations division. This key aviation job is based in Dubai, UAE, and requires the successful candidate to be a resident of the UAE or willing to relocate and reside in Dubai; this is not a commuting contract.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess an Airline Transport Pilot License (ATPL) with a current type rating for the Global 5000 (GVFD).
Work Experience
Required experience includes:
- G6000/5000 (GVFD) Type rating
- 4,000 hours total flight time
- 2,000 hours jet time
- 1,000 hours Pilot in Command (PIC) time, with a minimum of 500 hours as PIC on the GVFD type.
Background
- Experience in Corporate Aviation is required.
Languages
- Fluency in written and spoken English is essential; additional languages are advantageous.
IT Skills
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office is required.
Responsibilities
Key responsibilities for the PIC include liaising with passengers or the aircraft owner regarding operational issues or defects that may affect the aircraft's schedule. The PIC is responsible for the aircraft in accordance with the Operations Manual (OM), covering aspects such as Operations, Flight Duty Periods (FDP), and Safety. The role requires ensuring the aircraft is operated in compliance with the OM and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and being familiar with and operating according to the OM, company Operating Instructions (OI's), and applicable Civil Aviation regulations for the aircraft's registry.
The PIC holds ultimate responsibility for all decisions made onboard, ensuring aircraft paperwork is in order and the aircraft is airworthy before departure. Creating a safe and professional onboard environment with an emphasis on effective Crew Resource Management (CRM) is paramount. Responsibilities also include verifying correct passenger travel documents before departure, and having ultimate responsibility for passengers, ensuring they adhere to Flight Attendant instructions. If operating with Inflight Security Personnel (ISP), the Captain will ensure briefings and cabin security checks are conducted. The PIC is responsible for briefing passengers on journey time, en-route weather, possible delays, and other pertinent flight information. Maintaining a professional crew appearance and ensuring the crew does not damage the company's reputation or image is expected. Reporting any abnormalities, events, incidents, or accidents via the correct channels is mandatory. Finally, the PIC must understand and ensure compliance with all relevant internal and external rules, regulations, and procedures applicable to the business operations.

- Ensure correct passenger travel documents before departure.
- Hold ultimate responsibility for passengers, ensuring adherence to FA instructions; ensure briefings/security checks if operating with ISP.
- Brief passengers on journey details (time, weather, delays, etc.).
- Ensure crew presentability and safeguard company reputation/image.
- Report abnormalities, events, incidents, or accidents via correct channels.
