Challenger 3500 Second in Command (SIC) - San Diego
Elit'Avia Americas seeks a highly motivated and experienced Second in Command (SIC) for a Challenger 3500 aircraft, operating under Part 135 regulations. This full-time position is based in the San Diego area. The SIC is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the Challenger 3500, ensuring adherence to all applicable regulations and company procedures.
Responsibilities:
The SIC's responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Complying with all Federal Aviation Regulations, Company Operations Manual, Operations Specifications, Standard Operating Procedures, and Company Policies and Procedures.
- Ensuring the safety of all passengers, aircraft, and crew.
- Reviewing aircraft maintenance records to ensure required airworthiness and equipment inspections are current.
- Conducting pre-flight inspections in accordance with the approved aircraft flight manual.
- Completing a thorough check of weather and facilities along the route to be flown and airports to be used, including alternate airports.
- Accurately completing all trip paperwork in accordance with current procedures.
Qualifications and Certifications:
- Type rating on Challenger 350 or comparable aircraft is required.
- Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate with Multi-Engine Land rating is mandatory.
- Must be able to work on a schedule.
- Residence within a 2-hour drive of the San Diego base is required.
- Must hold and maintain a First-Class Medical Certificate.
Minimum Requirements for Consideration:
- Total Flight Time: 2,000 hours
- Pilot in Command Time: 500 hours
- Multi-Engine Land Time: 500 hours
- Turbo Jet Time: 250 hours
