Pilot Resources Co-op
This role supports the Pilot Resources department in various functions, contributing to the airline's operational excellence. The Co-op will assist with the administration of pilot leaves of absence, retirements, verification of outside flying, and onboarding of new hires. The successful candidate will commit to a minimum of three rotations: Summer 2025, Spring 2026, and Fall 2026.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assists with pilot rotation and schedule updates, maintaining database management system (DBMS) data and personnel files.
- Provides analytical support and research for Crew Resources, OE training planning, strategic initiatives, and supports Air Line Pilots Association (ALPA) reporting.
- Identifies required training for pilots returning from leave or awarded through Advance Entitlement.
- Delivers customer service to pilots, Chief Pilot Offices, Labor Relations, and ALPA by responding to inquiries via email and phone regarding category and staffing information.
- Maintains accuracy and distributes pay protection to pilots, ensuring pilot assignment files and job codes are accurate. Manages pilot Vacation, Training, and Sick (VTS) files, and processes all schedule-blocking requests.
- Identifies and develops new or improved processes to support operational changes, particularly in identifying manual processes and creating more efficient workflows for pilot resources and scheduling.
- Quickly gains familiarity with the Pilot Working Agreement (PWA), Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs), DBMS, SAP, and OSS.
- Practices safety-conscious behaviors in all operational processes and procedures.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Actively enrolled in an undergraduate program, pursuing a Bachelor's degree.
- Demonstrates strong analytical and organizational skills.
- Has exposure to analytical and reporting software.
- Possesses the ability to manage competing priorities and meet strict deadlines.
- Must be able to communicate with pilots regarding proprietary, confidential, legal, complex, or sensitive issues.
- Able to work in a fast-paced team environment.
- Has working knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Exhibits high attention to detail to ensure the consistent accuracy of personnel records that affect pay, job status, and benefits.
- Consistently prioritizes the safety and security of oneself, others, and personal data.
- Embraces diverse people, thinking, and styles.
- Possesses a high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency.
- Is at least 18 years of age and authorized to work in the United States.
