Pilot-in-Command (PIC) - HondaJet HA420 | Part 91 & 135 Operations

Position Summary
Cutter Aviation is actively seeking an exceptionally skilled, energetic, and knowledgeable aviation professional to serve as Pilot-in-Command (PIC) for a new HondaJet HA420. This specialized role involves managing complex single-pilot operations to support the owner’s private travel requirements (Part 91) and demanding on-demand charter missions (Part 135).
As this is a high-visibility, remote position, the PIC functions as the primary representative of Cutter Aviation. The successful candidate must be an outstanding relationship builder and communicator, driven by a sincere desire to provide world-class customer service to both the aircraft owner and external charter clients. The position requires proactive on-site management and seamless coordination with Cutter Flight Management regarding all phases of aircraft operations and support. The PIC serves as the external representative of the company to aircraft owners, operators, business partners, and the broader business aviation community.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
The Pilot-in-Command is charged with maintaining an uncompromising commitment to safety and operational excellence. Core responsibilities include:
- Serving as PIC on the HA420 HondaJet during Part 91 and Part 135 on-demand charter operations.
- Providing world-class service, rapport building, and maintaining a professional demeanor in appearance and mannerisms.
- Ensuring strict compliance with all FAA regulations pertaining to actual flight operations, qualifications, currency, and fitness for flight, as well as maintaining aircraft compliance status.
- Following established procedures for accurate reporting of irregularities during flights and ground checks, and meticulously maintaining flight and operational records.
- Maintaining adaptability and willingness for 24/7/365 availability, including rotational scheduling and readiness for short-notice callouts.
- Fulfilling additional administrative duties as assigned by the Director of Operations and Chief Pilot.
- Training and mentoring a Second-in-Command (SIC) pilot to ensure proper performance of their functions, if required.
Minimum Professional Requirements
Candidates must strictly adhere to the following core qualifications to be considered for this role:
- Possession of a Multi-Engine Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) Certificate.
- Possession of a current FAA First Class Medical Certificate, or the immediate ability to qualify for one.
- A clear operational history, with no accidents, incidents, or sanctions recorded within the past five years.
- Proven knowledge of general aviation aircraft, their service requirements, and the nuanced needs of flight crews and passengers.
- Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
- Must possess a High School Diploma or GED.
Desired Experience and Preferred Qualifications
Preference will be extended to candidates who meet or exceed the following experience levels:
- A minimum of 3,000 Total Time hours.
- A minimum of 1,500 Pilot-in-Command (PIC) hours.
- A minimum of 250 PIC hours accrued in turbine-powered aircraft.
- Previous experience in on-demand charter operations (Part 135).
- Previous Turbojet Type Rating and/or substantial Turboprop experience is highly preferred.
- Recent completion of formal flight training (e.g., FSI or Simuflite).
