Pilot - HA420 PIC, Phoenix, AZ (Position based in John Wayne-Orange County Airport, California)
Cutter Aviation is seeking an energetic and knowledgeable aviation professional to serve as Pilot-in-Command (PIC) of a new HondaJet HA420. Based at the John Wayne-Orange County Airport in California, this role supports both owner travel requirements and charter flying operations. As this is a remote position, the PIC serves as a primary representative of Cutter Aviation, requiring exceptional relationship-building and communication skills to provide world-class customer service to the owner and clients. The position also necessitates on-site management and liaison with Cutter Flight Management regarding all aspects of aircraft operations and support. The successful candidate will act as an external representative of the company to aircraft owners, operators, business partners, and the broader business aviation community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as PIC on the HA420 HondaJet for Part 91 and Part 135 on-demand charter operations.
- Maintain an uncompromising commitment to safety in all operations.
- Follow established procedures for reporting irregularities during flights and ground checks, and ensure meticulous record-keeping.
- Ensure compliance with all FAA regulations pertaining to flight operations, pilot qualifications, currency, fitness for flight, and aircraft compliance.
- Perform additional administrative duties as assigned by the Director of Operations and Chief Pilot.
- Demonstrate a desire to provide world-class service to all customers.
- Be available 24/7 year-round, adaptable to rotating schedules and short-notice callouts.
- Liaise effectively with Cutter Flight Management.
- Potentially train a Second-in-Command (SIC) pilot to perform their functions properly.
Minimum Requirements:
- Holds a Multi-Engine Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) Certificate.
- Possesses a current 1st Class Medical Certificate or the ability to qualify for one.
- Has no accidents, incidents, or sanctions within the past 5 years.
- Possesses knowledge of general aviation aircraft and their service requirements, as well as the needs of crews and passengers.

Desired Qualifications:
Preference will be given to candidates with:
- 3000 Total Flight Hours.
- 1500 Pilot-in-Command (PIC) Hours.
- 250 PIC Hours in turbine-powered aircraft.
- Previous experience in on-demand charter operations.
- Previous FSI or Simuflite Training.
- Previous Turbojet Type Rating and/or Turboprop experience.
