Captain, HondaJet - London Based
We are actively seeking a highly experienced and professional Captain for an exclusive owner-direct contract position to pilot a HondaJet. This distinguished role is based in London, United Kingdom, and will operate under the esteemed aircraft management services of Clay Lacy Aviation. Role Overview:
The Captain will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the HondaJet, primarily conducting flights within the UK and Europe. This position requires a HondaJet-typed Pilot-in-Command (PIC) who can seamlessly integrate into a discerning private aviation environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as Pilot-in-Command (PIC) for all assigned flights on the HondaJet, ensuring adherence to the highest safety standards.
- Rigorously comply with all Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) regulations, company operations manuals, operational specifications, and standard operating procedures.
- Execute comprehensive pre-flight planning, in-flight management, and post-flight procedures with precision.
- Maintain meticulous and accurate flight logs, records, and all required documentation.
- Uphold an exemplary level of professionalism, discretion, and superior customer service as a representative of both the aircraft owner and Clay Lacy Aviation.
- Actively participate in all required training, recurrent checks, and continuous professional development.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to ensure the smooth and effective operation of the aircraft.
Required Qualifications and Experience:
- Total Flight Time: A minimum of 3,500 hours.
- Pilot-in-Command (PIC) Time: A minimum of 2,000 hours.
- Turbine Time: A minimum of 1,000 hours.
- Certifications:
- A valid FAA Air Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate is mandatory.
- Current HondaJet Type Certification (PIC) is required for this position.
- A minimum of 200 hours in type (HondaJet) is strongly preferred.
- Possession of EASA certificates, if issued, will be considered advantageous.
- Residency: Candidates must be UK/Europe-based and capable of residing within a three-hour drivable commute of London-vicinity airports. This is strictly a non-commutable position.
- Legal Right to Work: Applicants must possess the legal right to work in the United Kingdom.
- Regulatory Compliance:
- Successful completion of a pre-employment Department of Transportation (DOT)/FAA drug screening and comprehensive background check is essential.
- Willingness to submit to random drug and alcohol tests as required by regulations and company policy.
- Demonstrated ability to comply with all company policies and procedures.
