Clay Lacy Aviation is actively seeking an exceptional and highly experienced HondaJet Captain to oversee flight operations for an owner-direct aircraft based in London, United Kingdom. This presents a distinctive opportunity for a dedicated Pilot in Command to manage and execute flight duties for a sophisticated private jet within a meticulously managed operational framework.

Role Overview and Responsibilities

The successful Captain will assume primary responsibility for the safe, efficient, and fully compliant operation of the HondaJet. This encompasses strict adherence to all applicable Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) regulations. Furthermore, the Captain will ensure diligent compliance with company operations manuals, operations specifications, standard operating procedures, and internal policies and procedures. The role also involves undertaking additional duties as assigned to guarantee seamless and consistently high-standard flight operations.

Essential Qualifications & Experience

  • A minimum of 3,500 hours total flight time.
  • At least 2,000 hours Pilot in Command (PIC) time.
  • A minimum of 1,000 hours turbine time.
  • Possession of a valid FAA Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate is a mandatory requirement.
  • Type Certification for the HondaJet is highly preferred, with a minimum of 200 hours in type.
  • Candidates must be residents of the UK or Europe and maintain a primary residence within a three-hour drivable commute of London-vicinity airports. This is unequivocally a non-commutable position.
  • Applicants must possess the legal right to work in the United Kingdom.

Application and Screening Process

All prospective candidates are required to successfully pass a comprehensive pre-employment drug screen and a thorough background check. Additionally, successful applicants will be subject to random drug and alcohol testing when mandated, in strict compliance with DOT/FAA regulations. The rigorous application process necessitates the submission of full, legible, color copies of all FAA (and EASA, if held) certificates (both sides), including a valid Medical Certificate, along with a fully completed disclosure form.
