Job Title: G-650 Captain

Flexjet is currently seeking an experienced Pilot to join the G-650 team as a Captain. This role performs pilot-in-command duties and manages daily operational functions to ensure safe, professional flight operations. The Captain reports directly to the Chief Aircraft Commander.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform all Captain/Pilot-in-Command (PIC) duties and direct crew activities to ensure full operational compliance.
  • Maintain final authority for the safe operation of the aircraft in accordance with company procedures.
  • Ensure aircraft airworthiness, maintain necessary documentation, and oversee maintenance discrepancy reporting.
  • Communicate operational status to the Fleet Manager, Operations, and relevant departments.
  • Maintain a current medical certificate and report any conditions that may impair flight performance.
  • Promote high standards of crew coordination, professionalism, and efficient communication.
  • Manage passenger relations, including greetings, seating, luggage assistance, and required safety briefings.
  • Execute additional duties as assigned by the Fleet Manager.

Education and Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree (preferred).
  • Valid EASA ATPL and/or Valid UK ATPL (application in progress acceptable).
  • Valid Multi-Crew Rating on EASA license and valid EASA Class 1 Medical.
  • Valid EU-Passport and legal right to work in Europe and/or the UK.
  • Minimum 3,500 hours total time and 1,500 hours Pilot-In-Command time.
  • Minimum 500 hours Multi-Engine Land time (1,000 preferred).
  • Minimum 500 hours Multi-Engine Turbine time (1,000 preferred).
  • Minimum 500 hours Actual Instrument time.
  • G-650 Type Rating desired, but not required.
  • English Language Proficiency (ELP) minimum level 5.
  • Previous experience in Commercial Air Transport and corporate operations is desirable.
  • Flexibility to work weekends, nights, shifts, holidays, and overnight trips.

Required Skills

  • Thorough working knowledge of EASA and UK Flight Operations regulations.
  • Advanced organizational, multi-tasking, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong verbal, written, and presentation capabilities.
  • Proficiency in computer and tablet applications, including word processing and web-based systems.
  • Commitment to detail, team collaboration, and a well-groomed professional appearance.

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements

The role involves regular exposure to mechanical parts, varying weather conditions, extreme temperatures, vibrations, and aviation chemicals in high-noise environments. Pilots must be able to perform essential operational tasks, including pre-flight/post-flight inspections, snow/ice removal, and the installation/removal of engine covers.

Physical requirements include the ability to occasionally lift or move up to 23 kg. Specific vision requirements include close, distance, and peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
