Key Responsibilities
The First Officer will be instrumental in the safe and effective operation of the Gulfstream 200 aircraft, performing a range of duties that include:
- Serving as a First Officer on the Gulfstream 200 aircraft, operating from the Toronto base.
- Ensuring all flights are conducted with paramount adherence to safety protocols and regulatory standards.
- Providing essential support for daily operational activities during available reserve days.
- Liaising proactively with Chartright’s Flight Coordination Centre and Sales teams to guarantee the seamless delivery of all operational and service requirements.
- Cultivating and promoting a collaborative environment where colleagues are encouraged to share innovative ideas, improvements, and solutions.
- Delivering exemplary direct customer service to clients, thereby enhancing their overall exceptional client experience.
- Completing mandatory monthly training courses and undertaking other assigned duties as required to maintain operational readiness and compliance.
Qualifications and Experience
Candidates for the First Officer position should possess a robust background in aviation and demonstrate a comprehensive skill set, including:
- A valid Canadian Airline Transport Pilot License (ATPL).
- Group 1 Multi-Engine IFR rating.
- A current and valid Transport Canada Medical Certificate.
- A valid Canadian Radio Telephone License.
- A minimum of 1500 hours of total flight time.
- A minimum of 500 multi-engine Pilot-in-Command (PIC) hours; jet or turbine time is highly preferred.
- A University degree or College diploma in Aviation is preferred.
- Physical ability to lift up to 60 lbs.
- Demonstrated hands-on experience with advanced flight management systems and glass cockpits.
- A strong understanding of aviation weather phenomena, airport performance characteristics, flight plan calculations, comprehensive fuel planning, and precise weight and balance principles.
- Expert knowledge of the Canadian Aviation Regulations (CARs) and proven adherence to Safety Management System (SMS) safety practices.
- A positive, proactive mindset coupled with a strong ability to work collaboratively and effectively build robust relationships across the organization.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Superior client service, organizational, and prioritization capabilities.
- Flexibility to work a variable schedule to effectively support client needs and operational demands.
- Previous International flying experience (Europe & South America) is required.
- Previous time on type (Gulfstream 200) is preferred.
