Key responsibilities include carrying out safety, first aid, and security procedures to the highest standards, providing genuine and personalized service to all customers, and delivering service excellence by creating memorable inflight experiences. The Flight Attendant must attend to customer's needs in a caring and professional manner, embrace diversity, and be a supportive team player in a culturally diverse environment. They must adapt to situations with confidence, tact, and flexibility while upholding inflight policies and complying with all regulatory requirements.
Candidates must be at least 18 years old and hold a high school diploma or equivalent. They must demonstrate proficiency in both written and spoken English, along with proficiency in at least one of the following additional languages: Cantonese, Putonghua, Bahasa Indonesia, Bahasa Malaysia, Filipino, Hindi, Japanese, Korean, Thai, Vietnamese, or Sinhala. Proficiency in Putonghua is considered an advantage. The position requires excellent communication skills and a minimum arm reach of 208cm on tiptoe. Previous experience in an airline, hospitality, or service industry is beneficial.
This is a safety-sensitive position, therefore the successful candidate must successfully complete a comprehensive pre-employment background check, including criminal records, demonstrate physical fitness to meet the requirements of the pre-employment medical assessment, and pass a pre-employment drug test. Exemption from English assessment is available for candidates with valid TOEIC scores of 325 or above in both Reading and Listening or a valid IELTS (Academic) overall Band Score of 6.0 or above.
