Responsibilities and Tasks

The First Officer is expected to demonstrate exceptional professionalism, openness, and pragmatism. This pivotal role requires a strong team player who assumes responsibility for critical decisions and actively contributes to shaping the future success of the airline. The primary responsibilities include:

• Ensuring the safe and efficient operation of Lufthansa City Airlines aircraft (Airbus A220/A320 family) across the European route network.
• Upholding the highest standards of responsible and sustainable aviation practices throughout all flight phases.
• Collaborating effectively within the flight deck crew and operational teams.
• Actively participating in and supporting the growth and development initiatives of Lufthansa City Airlines.
• Exploring new and exciting routes across all parts of Europe.

Required Qualifications and Candidate Profile

Candidates must meet stringent European safety and qualification standards, demonstrating strong decision-making capabilities and a collaborative spirit. In addition to strong teamworking skills, applicants must fulfill the following technical and general requirements:

• EASA CPL(A) / IR(A) license with ATPL theory credit and Multi-Crew Cooperation (MCC) certificate, or completed MPL (Phase 4).
• Mandatory A320/A220 Type Rating or a minimum of 500 hours total flight time on CS-25 certified aircraft.
• Valid EASA Medical Certificate Class 1.
• Completed Advanced UPRT training in accordance with applicable regulations (e.g., EASA FCL.745).
• Possession of a General Higher Education Entrance Qualification or an equivalent academic achievement.
• Citizenship of an EU member state or possession of an unrestricted residence and work permit for Germany.
• Passport possessing unlimited validity (if non-EU passport, entry restrictions must not exceed those applicable to EU passport holders).
• Proficient oral and written English language skills, meeting or exceeding ICAO Language Proficiency Level 4.

The selection process adheres strictly to Lufthansa City Airlines' established standards. Recognition of previous Lufthansa Group selection procedures may be considered.
