Commander A320 (m/f/d) - Berlin-Brandenburg

Sundair, a distinguished airline established in 2016 with headquarters in Stralsund and operational bases near Berlin-Brandenburg Airport, is actively seeking a highly qualified Commander for the Airbus A320 fleet. The airline specializes in leisure flights to prime destinations across the Mediterranean, the Red Sea, and the Canary Islands, operating from departure points including Berlin-Brandenburg, Dresden, and Bremen. In addition to holiday travel, Sundair conducts special and charter operations, alongside scheduled flights to Beirut. The company operates a fleet of five aircraft, comprising three A320 and two A319 models.

Position Overview:

The role of Commander A320 (m/f/d) is based at the Berlin-Brandenburg station. This critical position involves leading flight operations with a focus on safety, efficiency, and exceptional passenger service.

Key Responsibilities and Requirements:

  • Possession of a valid EASA FCL (ATPL) license.
  • Holding a current and valid Class 1 Medical certificate.
  • Minimum of 2,500 flight hours on CS 25 aircraft.
  • A minimum of 500 flight hours as Commander on the Airbus A320 fleet, or 1,500 flight hours on comparable aircraft types.
  • An active and current A320 type rating.
  • Valid and unrestricted EU passport (minimum 6 months validity). Non-EU citizens must possess an indefinite residence and work permit.
  • Excellent command of both German and English languages (English Level 4 equivalent or higher).
  • Demonstrated high levels of communication, flexibility, and teamwork.
  • An open, friendly demeanor, and a professional appearance.
  • Strong intercultural competence.
  • Proficient swimming ability.
  • Reliable internet access, a personal email address, and consistent telephone availability.
  • Residency within a maximum of 50 kilometers (1 hour travel time) of the assigned base station.
  • A valid background check (ZÜP) is advantageous.

What Sundair Offers:

  • Homebase: BER (Berlin-Brandenburg Airport).
  • An initial 24-month employment contract with the potential for a permanent position.
  • A competitive base salary encompassing 65 block hours, plus additional allowances.
  • Compensation for flight hours exceeding the base rate:
    • EUR 80.00 per hour from the 65th block hour.
    • EUR 120.00 per hour from the 80th block hour.
  • Daily allowances during flight duty periods.
  • Provision of uniform and a monthly uniform cleaning allowance.
  • An annual leave entitlement of 35 days.
