The Opportunity: Aviation Instructor Pilot

Key Responsibilities
- Delivers expert flight training within state-of-the-art flight simulators and comprehensive ground school sessions, strictly adhering to appropriate regulatory agency guidelines, CAE-approved curricula, and specific customer requirements.
- Serves as a Subject Matter Expert (SME), guiding clients through their training programs with authority and precision.
- Provides detailed simulator/flight or classroom instruction for the issuance of licenses, type ratings, internal training, certificates, and pilot qualifications across assigned aircraft types.
- Conducts pre-flight and post-flight simulator briefings in a thorough, professional manner, consistently meeting CAE's high standards.
- Manages essential administrative duties, including the accurate completion of training records, recommendation of remedial training when necessary, and diligent tracking of instructional qualifications and activity.
- Contributes as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in the development of curricula and courseware as required.
- Designated Instructors are expected to qualify as a Training Center Evaluator (TCE) and customer contract check airman after approximately 1.5 years, based on business needs.

Minimum Qualifications
Candidates must meet the following essential criteria:
- Possession of, or qualifications to receive, an unrestricted Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate.
- A minimum of one unrestricted Pilot in Command (PIC) Type Rating.
- A demonstrable passion for teaching, coupled with exceptional communication skills.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications, including Microsoft Office Suite and other internet-based programs.
- Willingness to participate in CAE’s Department of Transportation (DOT) Drug & Alcohol testing program.
- Authorization to live and work in the United States.

- Experience flying business aircraft is highly advantageous.

- A keen eye for detail, ensuring accurate and timely record-keeping in strict adherence to CAE policy and FAA requirements.
Physical Requirements
The role demands certain physical capabilities, including:
- Demonstrated physical dexterity for tasks requiring hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills.
- Ability to sit comfortably in a confined space for durations of 4-6 hours with limited breaks.
- Capacity to stand for extended periods, potentially up to 10 hours, with limited breaks.
- Ability to sit, stoop, climb, twist, and turn as required by the role.
