This pivotal role involves the operation of advanced Fire Support and Terminal Attack Control (JTAC) simulators. The JTAC Instructor/Operator will provide critical instruction for Close Air Support (CAS) familiarization and develop highly realistic, challenging training scenarios aligned with supported command operational objectives. Key responsibilities include the planning, development, scheduling, and synchronization of all aspects of the JTAC trainer/simulator. Furthermore, this position will contribute to the integration of Live, Virtual, Constructive, Gaming (LVCG) and Synthetic Training Environment (STE) systems, advising on training and mission rehearsal tasks, and evaluating JTAC and Forward Observer targeting devices.

The proposed salary range for this position is: $61,600 - $129,300 per year.
Please note: A variety of factors can influence the final salary, including geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. The range displayed represents the national average for this position.
