In your role, you will:
Oversees the safe and efficient operation of BBAD Flight Ops demonstration aircraft, personnel, and operating procedures. Responsible for overall supervision of his assigned flight crew and ensuring safe flight operations. Is also required from time to time to perform the duties of a demonstration pilot. While flying, they are responsible for the safe conduct of demonstration flights on worldwide flying operations, in accordance with Bombardier policies and Federal Aviation Administration regulations. The ratio of flying to office work is approximately 20%.

Oversee and Supervise all Pilots and In-Flight Coordinators

Responsible for Bombardier Widebody aircraft (up to 16 passengers)

Promote continuous improvements through the adoption of best industry practices (IS-BAO)

Foster the development of a strong safety culture within the department (SMS)
-
Provide operational updates and status updates to the DFO and other departments, as required
-
Provide aircraft performance data and technical support to the customer support, engineering organizations as well as other Bombardier departments, as needed
-
Ensure flight crews are qualified, current, and able to perform their respective duties
-
Establish cooperation with company personnel and salary administration officers in support of minimum employment qualifications, hiring procedures, salary structures, performance appraisal procedures, grade structure and dismissal procedures

Establish and maintain records as required by federal regulations, vendors, and company policies. Monitor records if they are maintained by an outside agency, such as a computer service.

Research various training sources, including aircraft training, simulator training, ground training, professional development, and prepackaged or online learning courses

Assign various collateral duties to the flight crew to ensure appropriate oversight of the many functions of the demonstration group. These duties must include, but not be limited to, the following: Standards, Training, Safety and Security Captains, Operations Officer, and Aircraft Product Leads.

Coordinate with departmental managers functions which impact on operational control (e.g. maintenance, scheduling, asset management, and finance)

Liaison with the regulatory authority on all matters concerning flight operations

Liaison with any external agencies that may affect aircraft operations

Ensure air operations are conducted in accordance with federal and international regulations, standards and policies contained within the Flight Ops Manual

Ensure crew scheduling complies with flight and duty time limitations
-
Ensure all crew members are kept informed of any changes to the regulations and operating standards
-
Receive and take action with respect to any aeronautical information affecting the safety of flight
-
Disseminate aircraft safety information, both internal and external

Ensure that flight crew qualifications are current

Maintain a current operations library
Qualifications
-
You have an ATP, CFI/MEI or equivalent
-
You have a total Flight Time 4500 hours
-
You have a Multi-engine Turbine 2000 hours
-
FCC Radio Permit
-
You have at least 500 hours on one of the applicable types
-
Type-rating in multiple Bombardier company aircraft
-
Must have previous experience in Demo pilot role
-
Ability for unrestricted world-wide travel (- (including but not limited to up-to-date immunizations/vaccinations).

Computer skills necessary to learn and/or operate iPad, email, and web-based applications

Planning and organization skills necessary to plan, prioritize and coordinate workload

Leadership skills necessary to make decisions with sound judgment, train and mentor employees for improved performance, and guide day-to-day operations successfully

You have verbal and Interpersonal skills necessary to establish and maintain effective working relationships with customers and at all levels throughout the organization

Business writing skills necessary to create various reports and correspondence

Ability to manage expense claims

Must be able to work in an environment subject to varying climatic conditions and varying levels of cabin pressurization

Must be able to work 16 consecutive duty days, which may extend up to 18 hours, and cross as many as 12 times zones
ADDITIONAL DESIRED/PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

You have a bachelor’s degree in related field
-
You have Management/Supervisor experience, management training, certified Aviation Manager (NBAA)

You have previous experience as crew member of a major airshow
-
You have attended Safety Standdown
