Aviation Pilot

Operating a dedicated freighter fleet of B767-300/200 aircraft from its Miami International Airport hub, Amerijet serves 38 destinations throughout the Caribbean, Mexico, Central, and South America. Amerijet Pilots are leaders in the company's operations, requiring individuals who can anticipate needs, develop plans, and collaborate effectively within a team. The ideal candidate upholds high standards, skillfully manages diverse situations, and demonstrates responsibility for the safe, on-time, and efficient operation of the aircraft. This role demands the ability to work independently or with limited supervision, adapt to varying climates and locations worldwide, and handle variable shifts. Pilots must also provide leadership in emergency and non-emergency situations.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills and quick, accurate decision-making abilities.
• Must meet FAA FAR Part 121 age requirements.
• Demonstrated close attention to detail.
• Ability to work varying hours, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Current unrestricted ATP certificate with an airplane category multi-engine class rating and English proficiency endorsement.
• Valid First Class Medical Certificate.
• Distance vision corrected to 20/20 and near vision corrected to 20/40 or better in each eye.
• FCC Restricted Radiotelephone Operator Permit.
• Proficiency in learning and working with EFBs.
• Fluency in spoken and written English.
• Valid unrestricted passport.
• Minimum of 1500 hours of total fixed-wing pilot time.

Additional Information for Students

Amerijet partners with select aviation programs. For students participating in the Pathway Program, specific qualifications apply, including maintaining a cumulative 3.0 GPA in a Bachelor of Science in Aeronautical Science degree program, completion of at least thirty hours of academic credit, and submission of faculty recommendations. Upon completion of the degree and other program requirements, qualified participants may be offered employment with Amerijet, contingent on a successful background check.
