Pilot Pathway Program Qualifications

Amerijet is committed to fostering the next generation of aviation professionals through its Pathway Program. Prospective participants are required to meet the following criteria:

General Qualifications:

Maintain a cumulative 3.0 GPA in an Aeronautical Science Bachelor of Science degree program conferred by the College of Aviation.
Complete a minimum of thirty academic credit hours at Embry-Riddle.
Submit two letters of recommendation from faculty within the College of Aviation.
Engage in regular communication with Amerijet for ongoing mentoring and coaching throughout the program.

Pilot-Specific Qualifications:

Upon completion of an Aeronautical Science degree, a minimum of three full semesters of service as a full-time flight instructor at Embry-Riddle.
Meet all qualifications for an unrestricted Federal Aviation Administration (FAA)-issued Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate with multi-engine land privileges.
Successful completion of a background check is required for employment offers, which are contingent upon meeting program requirements.

Additional Basic Qualifications for All Pilot Applicants

Exceptional communication skills and a demonstrated capacity for quick and accurate decision-making.
Adherence to FAA FAR Part 121 age limitations.
Meticulous attention to detail.
Flexibility to work variable hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Possession of a current, unrestricted ATP certificate with an airplane category, multi-engine class rating, and English proficiency endorsement.
Valid First Class Medical Certificate.
Distance vision corrected to 20/20 and near vision corrected to 20/40 or better in each eye.
Hold an FCC Restricted Radiotelephone Operator Permit.
Proficiency in learning and utilizing Electronic Flight Bags (EFBs).
Fluent in spoken and written English.
Valid unrestricted passport.
A minimum of 1500 hours of total fixed-wing pilot time.
