Position Summary
Amerijet International seeks highly skilled, safety-conscious, and professional pilots to serve as leaders within our flight operations. The ideal candidate understands that piloting extends beyond technical proficiency; it embodies a passion for aviation and a commitment to excellence. As a pilot with Amerijet, you are responsible for the safe, on-time, and efficient operation of our aircraft. This role requires an individual who can anticipate operational needs, develop effective plans, and collaborate seamlessly within a team to achieve mission success. Successful candidates will demonstrate the ability to manage a wide variety of situations, provide decisive leadership in both routine and non-routine scenarios, and maintain the highest standards of professionalism while working in diverse global environments and on variable schedules.
Key Responsibilities
- Uphold the highest standards of safety, professionalism, and operational integrity.
- Ensure the safe, on-time, and efficient operation of company aircraft in a global environment.
- Work collaboratively with flight crews, ground personnel, and other team members to achieve company objectives.
- Operate effectively and adapt to a variety of international climates, locations, and cultures.
- Maintain flexibility for variable work shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Provide leadership in responding to a variety of emergency and non-emergency situations with a calm and professional demeanor.
Minimum Qualifications
- Must hold a current and unrestricted FAA Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate with an airplane category multi-engine class rating and English proficiency endorsement.
- Must hold a valid First Class Medical Certificate.
- Must hold a valid and unrestricted passport.
- Must hold an FCC Restricted Radiotelephone Operator Permit.
- A minimum of 1500 hours of total fixed-wing pilot time.
- Must be able to fluently speak, read, and understand the English language.
- Must meet the age requirements as stipulated by FAA FAR Part 121.
- Possess distance vision corrected to 20/20 and near vision corrected to 20/40 or better in each eye.
- Demonstrate excellent communication, quick and accurate decision-making skills, and close attention to detail.
- Ability to learn and maintain proficiency with Electronic Flight Bags (EFBs).
Pilot Pathway Program Qualifications
Amerijet also offers a pathway for aspiring professional pilots. To be qualified for an interview under this program, a student must meet the following initial qualifications:
- Possess a Private Pilot Certificate with an Instrument rating.
- Submit a completed application and two character references.
Selected students will be entered into the program and will remain in it provided they successfully complete subsequent requirements, including obtaining a Commercial Pilot Certificate with a Multi-Engine rating and a Certified Flight Instructor (CFI) certificate as required for employment.
