Amentum invites highly qualified and dedicated aviation professionals to join its esteemed team as a First Officer (Pilot Second in Command) in Las Vegas, NV. This unique opportunity is designed for pilots seeking a family-friendly lifestyle, providing the stability of being home every night, with most weekends and federal holidays off—even for new hires. The role eliminates the need for crash pads, extensive airport layovers, or uncompensated deadhead travel, ensuring a superior work-life balance.
Pilots benefit from a flat, competitive salary based on a balanced workload, fairly shared among all flight crew members, removing the need to bid for schedules or chase flight hours for compensation. A comprehensive Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) governs employment, featuring a 12-step pay scale for both Captains and First Officers, with bi-weekly salary payments. New hires receive four weeks of Personal Time Off (PTO) annually, accumulating from the first day of employment, with provisions for carryover and payout. Full pay is provided during training, and no training contract is required.
The First Officer serves as the Pilot Second in Command (SIC) for B737-600NG aircraft operations.
The annual starting salary for this position is $101,192.00, as set by the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA). The base salary progression for First Officers during their first three years is currently projected at $101,000 / $135,000 / $149,000 annually, supplemented by a 14% company direct contribution to the 401(k) retirement plan (effective 2026).
