The Air Line Pilots Association, International (ALPA), the world's largest airline pilot union and the largest non-governmental aviation safety organization, is seeking an experienced Training & Human Performance Coordinator to join its team in Tysons (McLean), Virginia. Serving as a vital member of the Engineering & Air Safety (E&AS) department, this role functions as the staff focal point for policy areas related to Training and Human Performance.
The Training & Human Performance Coordinator provides expert support and coordinates activities across human performance, training, human factors, and other assigned areas. This position facilitates liaison between the Association and various government, industry, trade, and professional organizations within these disciplines. Responsibilities also encompass activities related to the development and harmonization of regulatory standards worldwide. The coordinator works closely with the ALPA Air Safety Organization (ASO) and its associated groups, as well as other technical groups and Master Executive Councils (MECs) within the ALPA structure.
The role requires operating computers and mobile devices, remaining stationary, moving within the office and metropolitan area, communicating verbally and in writing, and occasional lifting/moving up to 10 lbs (up to 50 lbs when traveling).
Up to 20%, with sporadic instances potentially reaching 25% of the time.
