Toyota AirFlite, Inc. is actively seeking a professional and highly motivated Aircraft Captain to join the Corporate Flight Operations department in McKinney, Texas.

This pivotal role serves as the Pilot in Command (PIC), managing all aspects of sophisticated international and domestic flight operations. The Aircraft Captain reports directly to the Chief Pilot and is responsible for upholding the highest standards of safety and dependability, ensuring secure transportation for all individuals traveling on the corporate aircraft.

Key Responsibilities of the Pilot in Command (PIC)

The Aircraft Captain exercises authoritative leadership and technical mastery in all phases of flight operations. Core responsibilities include:

  • Executing comprehensive preflight planning and aircraft inspections to rigorously confirm the aircraft meets all performance metrics and airworthiness requirements.
  • Ensuring strict compliance with all departmental operating policies, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs).
  • Performing all essential flight duties, including selecting the safest and most efficient routes and airports, developing robust contingency plans and alternative routes, calculating precise weight and balance, evaluating meteorological conditions, and verifying that all permits, permissions, and necessary documentation are in order for international operations.
  • Supervising and directing the activities of all assigned crew members throughout the duration of the trip.
  • Conducting detailed briefings for cockpit crew members on all pertinent operational aspects, including any specific or special considerations related to the mission.
  • Coordinating the functions of all crew members to maximize information flow, ensure accurate completion of checklists, and maintain the orderly conduct of the flight.
  • Maintaining a strong working knowledge of current advancements within the aviation industry through active participation in professional courses, seminars, and conferences.
  • Performing various ancillary duties as directed by the Chief Pilot and the Director of Aviation.
  • Demonstrating superior decision-making skills and providing decisive guidance and leadership to additional crew members while acting in the role of Pilot in Command.

Required Qualifications and Experience

Candidates must possess a demonstrated history of leadership, safety commitment, and operational excellence, including:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree (or higher) or equivalent professional work experience.
  • Current FAA Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) Certificate with a Multi-Engine Land Rating.
  • Proven experience as flight crew in international operations.
  • Valid passport with no restrictions on international travel.
  • Current FCC Radio Telephone Operators Permit.
  • Valid FAA First Class Medical Certificate.
  • Minimum total flight time of 3,000 hours.
  • Minimum of 1,000 hours acting as Pilot in Command in fixed-wing, turbine-powered aircraft.
  • Minimum of 1,500 hours of cross-country time.
  • Minimum of 1,000 hours of multi-engine time.
  • Minimum of 300 hours of actual instrument time.
  • Minimum of 250-night flight hours.
  • The ability to travel extensively, up to 75% of the time, is mandatory.
  • Acceptable motor vehicle record (MVR) according to company standards, as driving is required for this position.

Highly Desired Qualifications (Added Bonus)

Competitive candidates may also possess the following:

  • Current Type Rating for Gulfstream G550, Gulfstream G650, and/or the Gulfstream G700/G800 aircraft models.
  • Exceptional communication, organizational, and technical skills.
  • Working proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
