Position Summary
AirFlite, Inc. is actively seeking a professional and highly motivated Aircraft Captain to assume the critical role of Pilot in Command (PIC). The Aircraft Captain is responsible for executing all international and domestic flight operations, ensuring safe, dependable, and efficient corporate transportation for all traveling individuals. The incumbent reports directly to the Chief Pilot within the Corporate Flight Operations department.

Key Responsibilities (What the Captain Will Be Doing)
The Aircraft Captain serves as the ultimate authority during flight operations, ensuring strict adherence to Federal Aviation Regulations (FAR) and departmental operating policies. Core duties include:
- Rigorous execution of preflight planning and comprehensive inspections to verify the aircraft meets all performance, safety, and airworthiness requirements.
- Performing all required duties related to flight execution, including selecting the safest and most efficient flight routes and airports, developing detailed contingency plans and alternative routes, calculating precise weight and balance, thoroughly evaluating meteorological conditions, and confirming all necessary permits, permissions, and required documentation are meticulously organized.
- Supervising and providing direction to all assigned crew members throughout the trip lifecycle.
- Conducting detailed briefings for cockpit crew members on all pertinent aspects of flight operations, including any special considerations or operational requirements.
- Coordinating the functions of all crew members to maximize information flow, regulatory compliance, timely checklist completion, and the orderly, professional conduct of the flight.
- Maintaining expertise in current advancements within the aviation industry through continuous professional development, including participation in specialized courses, seminars, and conferences.
- Demonstrating superior decision-making skills and providing essential guidance and leadership to the additional crew members while executing the duties of the Pilot in Command.
- Performing other ancillary operational duties as assigned by the Chief Pilot and the Director of Aviation.
- This role requires flexibility, as the Captain must be able to travel up to 75% of the time.
- A valid motor vehicle record, acceptable under company standards, is required, as this position involves driving.
Required Qualifications (What Candidates Must Bring)
Candidates must possess an exemplary record of flight safety and operational excellence, meeting the following minimum requirements:
- Possession of a Bachelor’s Degree (or higher) or equivalent substantial professional work experience.
- Valid FAA Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) Certificate with a Multi-Engine Land Rating.
- Demonstrated operational experience as flight crew supporting international operations.
- Unrestricted Passport valid for international travel.
- Valid FCC Radio Telephone Operators Permit.
- Current FAA First Class medical certificate.
- Minimum of 3,000 hours of total flight time.
- Minimum of 1,000 hours in fixed-wing, turbine-powered aircraft serving as the Pilot in Command (PIC).
- Minimum of 1,500 hours of cross-country time.
- Minimum of 1,000 hours of multi-engine time.
- Minimum of 300 hours of actual instrument time.
- Minimum of 250 hours of night flight time.
Preferred Qualifications (Added Bonus)
- Possession of a Type Rating for Gulfstream G550, Gulfstream G650, and/or Gulfstream G700/G800 aircraft.
- Exceptional communication and organizational proficiencies.
- Working proficiency with MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
