Cabin Crew
Overview
The Cabin Crew member serves as a key ambassador, striving to cultivate customer loyalty and project a positive corporate image at all times. This role is dedicated to enhancing the overall customer experience by providing exceptional service to all passengers. The Cabin Crew member is responsible for ensuring the safety and comfort of passengers throughout the entire flight cycle. He or she must be prepared and physically fit to operate, maintaining productivity in line with established company policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensures punctual attendance, impeccable grooming standards, personal fitness, and regulatory compliance for all assigned flights. Participates actively in pre-flight briefings to confirm understanding of flight details, role assignments, targets, security checks, and boarding procedures.
- Instructs passengers effectively on safety procedures to be followed, prioritizing their safety and comfort throughout the journey.
- Identifies potential safety and security risks proactively, collaborating with the Cabin Supervisor to implement necessary remedial actions in strict adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Provides essential first aid to passengers requiring medical attention during the flight.
- Reports any irregularities, malfunctions, or significant issues promptly to the Cabin Supervisor, Flight Crew, and Captain as necessary.
- Extends a warm welcome to passengers, assisting them efficiently with boarding formalities. Accurately records necessary data in the aircraft log book according to established procedures.
- Delivers consistently excellent customer service by attending attentively to individual passenger pre-bookings, requests, and needs.
- Identifies and offers support to passengers who may be experiencing stress or difficulties, following the relevant guidelines outlined in the Operations Manual and other instructions.
- Contributes significantly to maximizing on-board revenue and participation in the "Charity Cloud" program by actively promoting on-board meals, products, and charity services, thereby achieving individual and team sales targets.
- Ensures the proper and secure handling of all cash and credit card payments received from individual sales and donations.
- Conducts thorough pre-flight checks to verify sufficient supplies, emergency equipment, catering provisions, and other specified items before departure. Reports any discrepancies or deficiencies to the Cabin Supervisor and/or Captain as appropriate.
- Assists in overseeing the meticulous cleaning of the aircraft cabin at transit stations and confirming that adequate re-catering and duty-free products are provided before subsequent flights.
- Ensures an orderly and complete handover or takeover of the cabin to or from catering, cleaning, and maintenance staff.
- Completes post-flight briefings and assessment reports according to established policies, providing objective evaluations of the Cabin Supervisor, reporting flight-related problems or discrepancies, and securing duty-free containers.
- Accounts for passenger conduct to the Cabin Supervisor and is prepared to fulfill the duties of 'Cabin Supervisor' when formally designated by the Captain.
- Maintains professional proficiency and safety knowledge through consistent attendance at recurrent trainings, emergency procedure drills, and educational workshops, ensuring all required licenses remain current.
- Supports overall team success by contributing to related results and achieving allocated sales targets and objectives.
Essential Requirements
- Age range: Between 20 and 30 years.
- Minimum Height: 160 cm for Female candidates, 168 cm for Male candidates.
- Weight must be in healthy proportion to age and height.
- Requires clear skin, free from any marks or tattoos that would be visible while wearing the standard cabin crew uniform.
- Must be medically and physically fit to perform all duties required of a Cabin Crew member.
- Ability to swim with the aid of a flotation device is mandatory.
Qualifications
- A Diploma or Higher Secondary Certificate is the minimum academic requirement; a diploma in Travel or Tourism is considered advantageous.
- Training certifications in First Aid, Safety, and Emergency Procedures are valuable assets.
- Must meet 'Fit to Fly' medical standards, possessing good general health without serious medical conditions or chronic diseases.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite is required.
- Fluent written and spoken English is essential.
Work Experience
- Fresh graduates are strongly encouraged to apply.
- Previous experience as Cabin Crew or in a customer service role within the Airlines, Aviation, or Hospitality industries is an advantage.
- Possession of an active cabin crew license is beneficial.
- Must be capable of working irregular shift patterns and extended working hours as required.
- Demonstrates high levels of flexibility and adaptability to frequent operational changes and busy schedules.
- Exhibits the ability to contribute effectively and consistently deliver against established policies, procedures, and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
