About the Role
Air Arabia is seeking dedicated and professional individuals to join its Cabin Crew team. As a Cabin Crew Member, you will act as a vital ambassador for Air Arabia, striving to achieve customer loyalty and promoting a positive corporate image at all times. This is achieved by enhancing the overall customer experience through providing excellent service, ensuring passenger safety, and maintaining comfort throughout the entire flight cycle. The role requires individuals to be ready and fit to operate, ensuring productivity aligns with company measures and standard policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensures timely attendance, maintaining proper grooming standards, physical fitness, and legal readiness for all assigned flights.
- Attends pre-flight briefings to stay informed on flight details, role distribution, targets, security checks, and boarding procedures.
- Instructs passengers thoroughly on essential safety procedures, prioritizing their well-being and comfort throughout the flight.
- Identifies potential safety and security risks, collaborating with the Cabin Supervisor to implement remedial actions in strict accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Administers first aid to passengers when necessary.
- Promptly reports any irregularities or malfunctions to the Cabin Supervisor, Flight Crew, and Captain as appropriate.
- Warmly welcomes passengers and assists with boarding formalities, accurately entering necessary data into the aircraft log book according to Air Arabia and GCAA/CAA procedures.
- Provides consistently excellent customer service, attending to individual pre-bookings, requests, and needs.
- Identifies and assists passengers experiencing stress or difficulties, adhering to corresponding policies and procedures detailed in the Operations Manual and other relevant instructions.
- Contributes to maximizing on-board revenue and the "Charity Cloud" program by effectively promoting meals, products, and charity services, thereby achieving individual and team sales targets.
- Ensures the proper and secure handling of all cash and credit card payments received for sales and donations.
- Carries out thorough pre-flight checks to verify sufficient supplies, emergency equipment, catering, and other specified items are on board before departure; reports any deficiencies to the Cabin Supervisor and/or Captain.
- Assists in ensuring the aircraft cabin is meticulously cleaned at transit stations and that adequate re-catering and duty-free products are provided before subsequent flights.
- Ensures an orderly and complete handover/takeover of the cabin to/from catering, cleaning, and maintenance staff.
- Performs post-flight briefing and completes assessment reports as per adopted policies and procedures, providing objective evaluations of the Cabin Supervisor, reporting flight problems or discrepancies, and managing the closing and sealing of duty-free containers.
- Accounts to the Cabin Supervisor for passenger conduct and is prepared to carry out the duties of ‘Cabin Supervisor’ when designated by the Captain.
- Maintains the required professional and safety knowledge and skills by attending recurrent training, emergency procedures training, educational workshops, and ensuring currency of license.
- Contributes actively to the team effort by achieving related results and meeting allocated sales targets and objectives.
Important Requirements
- Age: Between 20 and 33 years.
- Minimum Height: 160 cm (Female), 170 cm (Male).
- Weight: Must be in proportion to age and height.
- Skin: Clear skin with no marks or tattoos that would be visible whilst wearing the cabin crew uniform.
- Fitness: Must be medically and physically fit to perform all Cabin Crew duties.
- Ability to swim with the aid of a flotation device.
Qualifications
- Academic: A Diploma or Higher Secondary Certificate is required. A diploma in Travel or Tourism is considered an advantage.
- Training: Training in First Aid, Safety, and Emergency Procedures is an added value.
- Health: Must be fit to fly, possess good general health, and have no serious medical conditions or chronic diseases.
- Computer Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is necessary.
- Language: Must be fluent in both Written and Spoken English.
Work Experience and Other Considerations
- Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply for this role.
- Previous experience as cabin crew or in a customer service role within the Airlines, Aviation, or Hospitality Industries is a distinct advantage.
- Possession of an active cabin crew license is beneficial.
- Candidates must be capable of working in a shift pattern and for extended working hours.
- Demonstrates high flexibility and adaptability to frequent changes and busy schedules.
- Ability to contribute effectively and successfully deliver against established policies, procedures, and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
