Cabin Crew / Flight Attendant Job Description
Air Arabia is seeking dedicated individuals to join its team as Cabin Crew members. This role serves as a vital ambassador for the airline, tasked with fostering customer loyalty and projecting a positive corporate image at all times. The primary focus is on delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring the safety and comfort of all passengers throughout every phase of the flight. The successful candidate will consistently maintain a high standard of readiness and fitness for duty, operating in strict adherence to established company policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensures punctual attendance, maintains impeccable grooming standards, and confirms personal fitness and legal readiness for all assigned flights.
- Participates actively in pre-flight briefings to assimilate flight details, role assignments, safety and security checks, and boarding procedures.
- Provides passengers with clear instructions on safety procedures, prioritizing their safety and comfort throughout the flight duration.
- Identifies potential safety and security risks within the cabin environment and collaborates with the Cabin Supervisor to implement timely remedial actions in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Administers first aid to passengers requiring medical assistance during the flight.
- Reports any irregularities, malfunctions, or significant incidents promptly to the Cabin Supervisor, Flight Crew, or Captain as necessary.
- Extends a warm welcome to passengers and assists with boarding formalities, accurately documenting required data in the aircraft log book according to Air Arabia and GCAA/CAA procedures.
- Delivers continuous excellent customer service by attentively addressing individual passenger pre-bookings, requests, and needs.
- Identifies and provides appropriate support to passengers experiencing stress or difficulties, adhering to policies and procedures detailed in the Operations Manual and other relevant instructions.
- Actively promotes on-board meals, products, and charity services to maximize ancillary revenue and contribute to the "Charity Cloud" program, striving to achieve individual and team sales targets.
- Ensures proper and secure handling of all cash and credit card payments received from sales and donations.
- Conducts thorough pre-flight checks to confirm the availability of sufficient supplies, emergency equipment, catering provisions, and other specified items, reporting any deficiencies to the Cabin Supervisor or Captain.
- Assists in overseeing the thorough cleaning of the aircraft cabin at transit stations and confirms adequate re-catering and duty-free products are stocked before departure.
- Manages the orderly handover and takeover of the cabin with catering, cleaning, and maintenance staff.
- Completes post-flight briefings and assessment reports as per adopted policies and procedures, including objective evaluation (where applicable), reporting flight discrepancies, and securing duty-free containers.
- Reports on passenger conduct to the Cabin Supervisor and is prepared to assume the duties of Cabin Supervisor when designated by the Captain.
- Maintains essential professional knowledge and safety competency through participation in recurrent training, emergency procedures training, and educational workshops, ensuring all required licenses remain current.
- Contributes effectively to overall team performance by achieving related results and meeting allocated sales targets and objectives.
Important Requirements:
- Age: Between 20 and 26 years for candidates without prior Cabin Crew experience. Up to 33 years for experienced Cabin Crew.
- Minimum Height: 160 cm for female candidates, 168 cm for male candidates.
- Weight: Must be in proportion to age and height.
- Clear skin with no visible marks or tattoos when wearing the cabin crew uniform.
- Must be medically and physically fit to perform demanding Cabin Crew duties.
- Ability to swim with the aid of a flotation device.
Qualifications:
- Academic: A Diploma or Higher Secondary Certificate is required. A diploma in Travel or Tourism is considered advantageous.
- Training: Prior training in First Aid, Safety, and Emergency Procedures is an added value.
- Health: Must be medically fit to fly, possessing good general health with no serious medical conditions or chronic diseases.
- IT Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is necessary.
- Languages: Fluency in both written and spoken English is essential. Fluency in Arabic is preferred.
Work Experience:
- Fresh graduates are welcome and encouraged to apply for this position.
- Previous experience as Cabin Crew or in a customer service role within the Airlines, Aviation, or Hospitality industries is considered beneficial.
- Holding an active Cabin Crew license is an advantage.
- Candidates must be capable of working flexible shift patterns and potentially extended working hours.
- Demonstrates high flexibility and adaptability to frequent changes and busy schedules.
- Proven ability to contribute effectively and achieve results against established policies, procedures, and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
