Job Purpose:
The Cabin Crew acts as an ambassador for the airline, consistently striving to achieve customer loyalty and promote a positive corporate image by enhancing the overall customer experience. This role provides excellent customer service to all passengers while ensuring their safety and comfort are maintained throughout the entire flight cycle. The Cabin Crew must be ready and fit to operate, ensuring productivity aligns with established measures and company policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
The Cabin Crew is responsible for:
Conduct:
- Ensuring timely attendance, proper grooming, physical fitness, and legality for assigned flights. Attending briefings to confirm understanding of flight details, role distribution, targets, security checks, boarding procedures, etc.
Safety Measures:
- Instructing passengers on safety procedures to ensure their safety and comfort.
- Identifying safety and security risks and collaborating with the Cabin Supervisor to implement remedial actions according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Administering first aid to passengers when necessary.
- Promptly informing the Cabin Supervisor, Flight Crew, and Captain of any irregularities or malfunctions.
Customer Service:
- Welcoming passengers and assisting with boarding formalities; accurately entering necessary data into the aircraft log book as per airline and regulatory procedures.
- Providing consistent excellent customer service by addressing individual pre-bookings, requests, and needs.
- Identifying and assisting passengers experiencing stress or difficulties in accordance with established policies and procedures.
- Contributing to maximizing on-board revenue and the Charity Cloud program through efficient promotion of on-board meals, products, and charity services to achieve individual and team targets.
- Ensuring proper and secure handling of cash and credit card payments received for sales and donations.
Crosschecking and Reports:
- Performing pre-flight checks to ensure sufficient supplies, emergency equipment, catering, and other specified items are on board and reporting any deficiencies.
- Assisting in ensuring thorough cabin cleaning at transit stations and adequate re-catering and duty-free stock before flying.
- Ensuring an orderly and complete handover/takeover of the cabin to/from catering, cleaning, and maintenance staff.
- Carrying out post-flight briefings and assessment reports, providing objective evaluation of the Cabin Supervisor, reporting flight problems or discrepancies, and ensuring proper closing and sealing of duty-free containers.
- Reporting on passenger conduct to the Cabin Supervisor and performing Cabin Supervisor duties when designated by the Captain.
- Maintaining required professional and safety knowledge by attending recurrent training, emergency procedures training, educational workshops, and ensuring current licensing.
- Contributing to team effort by achieving related results and allocated sales targets and objectives.
Required Qualifications and Experience:
Important Requirements:
- Age: Between 20 to 33 years.
- Minimum Height: 160 cm for females, 170 cm for males.
- Weight: Must be in proportion to age and height.
- Clear skin without visible marks or tattoos when wearing the cabin crew uniform.
- Medically and physically fit to perform Cabin Crew duties.
- Ability to swim with the aid of a flotation device.
Qualifications (Academic, training, languages):
- Education: Diploma or Higher Secondary Certificate is acceptable; a diploma in Travel/Tourism is advantageous.
- Training in First Aid, Safety, and Emergency Procedures is an added value.
- Must be fit to fly with good general health, free from serious medical conditions or chronic diseases.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Fluent in written and spoken English.
Work Experience:
- Experience: Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply. Previous experience as cabin crew or in a customer service role within the Airlines/Aviation or hospitality industries is an added value.
- An active cabin crew license is an advantage.
- Capability to work in shift patterns and for extended hours.
- High degree of flexibility and adaptability to frequent changes and busy schedules.
- Demonstrated ability to contribute to and successfully deliver against policies, procedures, and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
