Job Purpose

The Cabin Crew member serves as a vital ambassador for Air Arabia, consistently striving to cultivate customer loyalty and promote a positive corporate image. This is achieved by continually enhancing the overall customer experience. The role demands the provision of excellent customer service to all passengers while rigorously ensuring their safety and comfort throughout the entire flight cycle. The ideal candidate will maintain a high level of operational readiness and physical fitness, consistently adhering to company policies, procedures, and established productivity measures.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Excellence and Professional Conduct:

  • Ensures timely attendance, impeccable grooming, physical fitness, and legal compliance for all assigned flights.
  • Actively participates in pre-flight briefings to acknowledge flight details, understand role distribution, targets, security checks, and boarding procedures.

Safety and Security Measures:

  • Instructs passengers on all necessary safety procedures, thereby guaranteeing their safety and comfort at all times.
  • Identifies potential areas of safety and security risks and collaborates with the Cabin Supervisor to implement prompt remedial action in strict accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Administers first aid to passengers as and when required.
  • Promptly informs the Cabin Supervisor, Flight Crew, and Captain, as appropriate, of any irregularities or malfunctions.

Exceptional Customer Service Delivery:

  • Extends a welcoming greeting to passengers and provides assistance with their boarding formalities; accurately enters necessary data into the aircraft log book as per Air Arabia and GCAA/CAA adopted procedures.
  • Delivers constant, excellent customer service by attending to individual pre-bookings, requests, and passenger needs.
  • Identifies and assists passengers experiencing stress or difficulties, adhering to the corresponding policies and procedures detailed in the Operations Manual and other relevant instructions.
  • Contributes to maximizing on-board revenue and the “Charity Cloud” program through the efficient promotion of on-board meals, products, and charity services, thereby achieving individual and team sales targets.
  • Ensures the proper and secure handling of cash and credit card payments received against individual sales and donations.

Crosschecking, Reporting, and Compliance:

  • Carries out comprehensive pre-flight checks to ensure sufficient supplies, emergency equipment, catering provisions, and other specified equipment prior to take-off; provides a detailed report for any deficiencies to the Cabin Supervisor and/or Captain as appropriate.
  • Assists in ensuring the aircraft cabin is thoroughly cleaned at transit stations and that adequate re-catering and duty-free products are provided before subsequent flights.
  • Ensures an orderly and complete handover/takeover of the cabin to/from catering, cleaning, and/or maintenance staff.
  • Executes post-flight briefings and assessment reports as per adopted policies and procedures, including objective evaluation of the Cabin Supervisor, reporting any problems or discrepancies on flight, and the closing and sealing of duty-free containers.
  • Accounts to the Cabin Supervisor for the conduct of passengers; capable of fulfilling the duties of ‘Cabin Supervisor’ when designated as such by the Captain.
  • Maintains necessary professional and safety knowledge and competitiveness by attending recurrent trainings, emergency procedures trainings, and educational workshops, and by ensuring current license validity.
  • Contributes effectively to team efforts by accomplishing related results and achieving allocated sales targets and objectives.

Candidate Requirements

  • Age: Must be between 20 and 33 years.
  • Minimum Height: 160 cm for female candidates, 170 cm for male candidates.
  • Weight: Must be in proportion to age and height.
  • Appearance: Clear skin with no visible marks or tattoos when wearing the cabin crew uniform.
  • Health: Medically and physically fit to perform all Cabin Crew duties, possessing good general health, and free from serious medical conditions or chronic diseases.
  • Swimming Ability: Ability to swim with the aid of a flotation device.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Education: A Diploma or Higher Secondary Certificate is acceptable for this role. A diploma in Travel or Tourism is considered an added advantage.
  • Training: Training in First Aid, Safety, and Emergency Procedures is an added value.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is required.
  • Language: Fluency in both written and spoken English is essential.
  • Work Experience: Fresh graduates are strongly encouraged to apply. Previous experience as cabin crew or in a customer service role within the Airlines, Aviation, or Hospitality industries will be a distinct advantage.
  • Licensing: Possession of an active cabin crew license is an advantage.
  • Work Ethic: Capable of working in shift patterns and for extended working hours. Demonstrates high flexibility and adaptability to frequent changes and busy schedules.
  • Performance: Proven ability to contribute to and successfully deliver against established policies, procedures, and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
