Job Purpose

The Cabin Crew Member acts as an ambassador for Air Arabia, dedicated to fostering customer loyalty and a positive corporate image by enhancing the overall passenger experience. They provide exceptional customer service while ensuring passenger safety and comfort throughout the entire flight cycle. This role requires consistent readiness and fitness for duty, maintaining productivity in alignment with company policies and procedures.

Key Result Responsibilities

  • Conduct: Maintains timely attendance, impeccable grooming, fitness, and legal compliance for assigned flights. Attends briefings to ensure understanding of flight details, role distribution, targets, security protocols, and boarding procedures.
  • Safety Measures: Instructs passengers on safety procedures, ensuring their safety and comfort at all times. Identifies safety and security risks, collaborating with the Cabin Supervisor to implement remedial actions as per Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Administers first aid to passengers when necessary. Promptly informs the Cabin Supervisor, Flight Crew, and Captain of any irregularities or malfunctions.
  • Customer Service: Greets passengers and assists with boarding formalities, accurately entering data into the aircraft logbook, adhering to Air Arabia and GCAA/CAA procedures. Provides consistent, superior customer service by addressing individual pre-bookings, requests, and needs. Identifies and assists passengers experiencing stress or difficulties, following policies and procedures detailed in the Operations Manual and other relevant instructions. Actively promotes on-board meals, products, and the "Charity Cloud" program to maximize revenue, contributing to both individual and team sales targets. Ensures the secure handling of cash and credit card payments from individual sales and donations.
  • Crosschecking and Reports: Conducts pre-flight checks to confirm sufficient supplies, emergency equipment, and catering items. Reports any deficiencies to the Cabin Supervisor and/or Captain. Assists in ensuring the aircraft cabin is thoroughly cleaned at transit stations, with adequate restocking of catering and duty-free items. Ensures the orderly handover/takeover of the cabin with catering, cleaning, and/or maintenance staff. Completes post-flight briefings and assessment reports, providing objective evaluations of the Cabin Supervisor and reporting any issues. Accounts to the Cabin Supervisor regarding passenger conduct, performing 'Cabin Supervisor' duties when designated by the Captain. Maintains professional and safety knowledge through recurrent training, emergency procedure drills, and educational workshops, ensuring current license validity. Contributes to team objectives, achieving allocated sales targets.

Important Requirements

  • Age: Between 20 and 30 years.
  • Minimum Height: 160 cm (Female), 168 cm (Male).
  • Weight: Proportionate to age and height.
  • Clear skin with no visible marks or tattoos while wearing the cabin crew uniform.
  • Medically and physically fit to perform Cabin Crew duties.
  • Ability to swim using a flotation device.

Qualifications (Academic, training, languages)

  • Diploma or Higher Secondary Certificate required; a diploma in Travel/Tourism is considered an advantage.
  • Training in First Aid, Safety, and Emergency Procedures is highly valued.
  • Fit to fly, with good overall health and no serious medical conditions.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English is mandatory.

Work Experience

  • Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
  • Prior experience as cabin crew, or in customer service within the aviation/airline or hospitality industries, will be regarded positively.
  • Possession of an active cabin crew license is an advantage.
  • Must be capable of working in a shift pattern and for extended hours.
  • Demonstrates flexibility and adaptability to changes and busy schedules.
  • Must demonstrate the ability to contribute and deliver against policies, procedures, and set Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
