Role Summary
Air Arabia seeks dedicated and professional individuals to join its team as Cabin Crew members. This crucial role serves as a primary representative and ambassador for Air Arabia, consistently striving to enhance the overall customer experience, build passenger loyalty, and project a positive corporate image. The Cabin Crew member is responsible for delivering excellent customer service to all passengers while prioritizing their safety and comfort throughout the entire flight cycle. The position requires maintaining a high standard of readiness and physical fitness to operate efficiently and productively in accordance with established company policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
The responsibilities of the Cabin Crew member are diverse, encompassing operational preparedness, safety compliance, and outstanding customer service. This includes:
- Ensuring timely attendance, impeccable personal presentation, and maintaining the necessary fitness and legal requirements for flight duties. Attending pre-flight briefings to review flight details, assigned roles, sales targets, security checks, and boarding procedures.
- Instructing passengers on safety procedures, identifying potential safety and security risks, and collaborating with the Cabin Supervisor to implement corrective actions according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Administering first aid when necessary and promptly reporting any irregularities or malfunctions to the Cabin Supervisor, Flight Crew, or Captain.
- Welcoming passengers and assisting with boarding formalities, including required data entry.
- Providing attentive and continuous service, addressing individual passenger pre-bookings, requests, and needs.
- Identifying and assisting passengers who may be experiencing stress or difficulties, adhering to company guidelines.
- Contributing to on-board revenue by effectively promoting meals, products, and charity programs to achieve individual and team sales targets.
- Accountable for the proper and secure handling of all cash and credit card transactions, including donations.
- Conducting pre-flight checks on necessary supplies, emergency equipment, catering provisions, and other specified items, reporting any deficiencies.
- Assisting in ensuring the aircraft cabin is clean at transit stations and adequately restocked with catering and duty-free products.
- Ensuring orderly handover and takeover of the cabin to and from ground staff.
- Participating in post-flight debriefings and completing assessment reports, providing feedback, reporting flight problems or discrepancies, and managing duty-free items.
- Accountable to the Cabin Supervisor for passenger conduct and may be designated by the Captain to perform Cabin Supervisor duties.
- Maintaining continuous professional development through attendance at training and ensuring the validity of their license.
- Actively contributing to overall team success and the achievement of allocated sales targets.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Candidates must be between 20 and 33 years of age.
- A minimum height of 160 cm for female candidates and 170 cm for male candidates is required, with weight proportional to age and height.
- Clear skin is necessary, with no visible marks or tattoos when wearing the cabin crew uniform.
- Applicants must be medically and physically fit to perform all cabin crew duties effectively.
- The ability to swim with the aid of a flotation device is required.
- Academic qualifications include a Diploma or Higher Secondary Certificate; a diploma in Travel/Tourism is considered an advantage.
- Training in First Aid, Safety, and Emergency Procedures is an added value.
- Candidates must be fit to fly, possess good general health, and have no serious medical conditions or chronic diseases.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required.
- Essential language requirement is fluency in both written and spoken English.
- Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply for this position.
- Previous experience as cabin crew or in a customer service role within the Airlines, Aviation, or Hospitality industries is considered a valuable asset.
- Holding an active cabin crew license is advantageous.
- Candidates must be capable of working variable shift patterns, including extended working hours.
- High flexibility and adaptability to frequent operational changes and busy schedules are essential.
- The ability to contribute effectively and successfully deliver results in line with established policies, procedures, and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) is required.
