About the Role
Aerial Services, Inc. seeks a dedicated Survey Pilot & A&P Mechanic to join our team. Based at KALO, this role involves operating and repairing aircraft and sensors across the nation, supporting various aerial survey missions including LiDAR, photogrammetry, and multispectral imaging.
Responsibilities
- Safely pilot fixed-wing aircraft during aerial survey flights, adhering to FAA regulations and company safety protocols.
- Plan flight routes, altitudes, and data collection parameters, analyzing weather, terrain, and airspace restrictions.
- Operate onboard survey equipment and perform initial data quality checks.
- Conduct routine and non-routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs on airframes, engines, and avionics.
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues to maintain airworthiness and minimize downtime.
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of aircraft receipts, maintenance logs, flight records, and regulatory documentation.
- Comply with FAA Part 91 requirements.
- Be available for long-term travel and on-call rotations (150+ days per year).
- Travel to remote job sites for field operations, aircraft repositioning, and emergency maintenance.
Required Qualifications
- FAA Commercial Pilot Certificate, SEL
- A&P Mechanic Certification
- Second Class Medical Certificate
- Ability to communicate and coordinate with external teams and resources.
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and time management skills for independent and remote work.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- US Citizenship and legal employability in the United States without sponsorship.
- Must pass E-Verify identity verification.
Preferred Qualifications
- Survey/Mission flying experience.
- FAA A&P experience with Cessna T206 and other piston aircraft.
- FAA Commercial MEl.
- Aircraft ownership.
