Captain Position at Ascend Airways - Boeing 737-NG and MAX Operations
Ascend Airways, a newly established UK AOC holder, is seeking experienced and highly motivated Captains to join its expanding fleet of Boeing 737-NG and MAX aircraft. The Role:
Ascend Airways' Captains will play a pivotal role in establishing the company's presence in the ACMI market, operating from its inaugural base at London Gatwick Airport. This exciting opportunity presents the chance to contribute to the development of a new airline and benefit from the company's ongoing expansion.
Responsibilities:
- Safely and efficiently operate Boeing 737-NG and MAX aircraft in accordance with company and regulatory standards.
- Maintain a high level of professionalism and customer service throughout all flights.
- Collaborate effectively with crew members and ground staff to ensure seamless operations.
- Contribute to the development of a positive and supportive working environment.
Requirements:
Essential:
- Unrestricted right to live and work in the United Kingdom.
- Class One medical certificate without restrictions (other than for spectacles/contact lenses).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to maintain a home address within 90 minutes travelling time of London Gatwick.
- Boeing 737 type rating, either current or expired by no more than two years.
- Minimum of 3,000 hours total time.
- Minimum of 500 hours in command of Boeing 737 aircraft.
Preferred:
EASA ATPL Captains are welcome to apply and will be supported in converting to a UK licence prior to the date of joining.
Compensation and Benefits:
Full Time Captain:
- Competitive salary of £120,000 (revised April 2024).
- Flight pay of £13 per hour.
- 6% of salary contributed to a pension scheme.

- Minimum of 10 days off per month.
- 42 days annual holiday entitlement, with ten days off per month and three ‘golden days’ guaranteeing a day off at base.
Full Time Captain - 20/10:

- Accommodation and per diem paid whilst on duty.
- Flights paid in economy class on the first and last day of duty.
- 36 days annual holiday entitlement, with ten days off per month and two ‘golden days’.
