Position Overview
This role is designed for experienced captains who possess strong technical proficiency, exceptional communication skills, and a professional leadership ethos that fosters excellent crew collaboration. Candidates will demonstrate an in-depth understanding of aviation regulations, safety practices, and efficient flight operations. The ability to maintain composure under pressure, make sound and timely decisions, and exhibit proven teamwork and leadership capabilities are paramount.
Key Requirements:
- License: An Airline Transport Pilot's Licence (ATPL) is mandatory.
- Flight Experience: Candidates must have current or recent command experience on a multi-crew aircraft with a Maximum Take-Off Weight (MTOW) exceeding 10 tonnes or capable of carrying 19 or more passengers.
- Type Rating: A specific type rating is not initially required, as comprehensive training will be provided.
- Preferred Type Ratings: Applicants holding a valid type rating on any of Loganair's fleet aircraft are highly encouraged to apply. This includes the ATR 42-500, ATR 42-600, ATR 72-600, Britten-Norman Islander, de Havilland Canada Dash 6-310 Twin Otter, de Havilland Canada Dash 6-400 Twin Otter, and Embraer ERJ-145.
- Licensing Authority: Open to UK Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) licence holders.
- Medical Certificate: A valid Class 1 Medical Certificate is required.
- English Proficiency: An ICAO English Language Proficiency (ELP) level of 4 or above is necessary.
- Work Authorization: Candidates must possess the legal right to live and work in the UK.
- Visa Sponsorship: Please note that visa sponsorship is not provided for this position.
