Leader Crew Culture - Sydney (Inflight Experience)
Virgin Australia, an airline known for its unique approach to travel, is seeking a passionate and experienced Leader Crew Culture to join its team in Sydney. This is a pivotal role within the company, focused on cultivating a positive and high-performing cabin crew environment.
The ideal candidate will be a strong and visible leader, committed to supporting, coaching, and developing a team of approximately 130 customer service professionals. This position reports directly to the Crew Culture Manager and is responsible for ensuring that the team consistently delivers exceptional customer experiences while adhering to all Virgin Australia Group policies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, support, coach, and develop a team of cabin crew professionals, maximizing their potential and fostering a culture of excellence.
- Monitor team performance across the cabin operational environment, ensuring adherence to company standards.
- Proactively manage the health and well-being of team members, providing support and addressing their needs.
- Collaborate with Customer Experience Managers to ensure the team delivers a truly Virgin experience to all customers.
- Partner with leaders and People Partners to achieve positive outcomes on all people matters.
- Develop and monitor team members' performance in alignment with Virgin Australia's strategic vision and purpose, taking proactive steps to address any performance gaps.
- Drive motivation and engagement, fostering an environment of strong teamwork and collaboration.
- Be responsive and solutions-focused to emerging people matters that may impact the effective running of the operation.
Essential Skills and Experience:
- Minimum Year 12 qualifications or equivalent.
- Proven leadership experience in leading large, diverse teams in a fast-paced business environment.
- Experience leading remote workforces to achieve positive personal and business outcomes.
- Experience within aviation, specifically in cabin operations.
- Strong and trusted people leadership capabilities.
- Demonstrated ability to influence and engage business leaders at all levels.
- Exceptional emotional intelligence, with the ability to read, monitor, and understand behaviors, and respond effectively to promote positive outcomes.
- Ability to drive positive customer outcomes through a large and diverse workforce.
- Visible leadership qualities, inspiring and motivating team members.
- A thorough understanding of working within the scope of an Enterprise Bargaining Agreement.
- Strong understanding of change management principles, techniques, and tools.
