Operating a modern fleet of regional aircraft, Skytrans specialises in Regular Public Transport (RPT), charter services, and ACMI (Aircraft, Crew, Maintenance, and Insurance) operations across the Asia-Pacific region. Skytrans is the first ACMI provider in Australia within Avia Solutions Group, the world’s largest ACMI provider, operating a fleet of 221 aircraft across six continents and providing a range of aviation services including MRO, pilot and crew training, and ground handling.

About the Role

As a Cabin Crew member, the successful candidate will be a dedicated and enthusiastic professional with a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. This role requires embodying the highest standards of hospitality, safety, and efficiency. The position demands excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with a diverse range of passengers. Cabin Crew must be able to remain calm under pressure, handle challenging situations, and be comfortable operating as solo cabin crew on smaller aircraft. These full-time positions are available in Sydney, Townsville, Cairns, and Brisbane, reporting to the Senior Base Cabin Crew.

Key Responsibilities

The responsibilities of the Cabin Crew member include, but are not limited to:

  • Announcing and demonstrating safety and emergency procedures.
  • Directing and assisting passengers effectively in the event of an emergency.
  • Providing outstanding support to all passengers, including unaccompanied minors, nervous travellers, and those with limited English proficiency.
  • Assisting in the cleaning and presentation of the cabin between flights.
  • Administering first aid to passengers or coordinating first aid efforts as required.
  • Ensuring the highest possible service standard for passengers, striving to meet and exceed expectations.
  • Liaising effectively with the pilot-in-command to coordinate operational requirements impacted by factors such as weather, passenger needs, early descents, or diversions.
  • Ensuring adequate supply levels of food, beverages, and other passenger amenities.

Minimum Qualifications

Candidates are required to meet the following minimum requirements:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age and eligible to obtain an Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC).
  • Hold a current First Aid Certificate (HLTAID011), CPR Certificate (HLTAID009), and a Responsible Service of Alcohol Statement (or be willing to obtain these immediately).
  • Possess a valid passport with at least 6 months’ validity remaining.
  • Able to swim fully clothed for 50 metres and tread water for 3 minutes.
  • Maintain excellent health and fitness, with normal function of ear, nose, and throat, and adequate vision (with or without corrective lenses).
  • Available to work a 24/7 rotating roster, including weekends and public holidays.
  • Possess prior customer service experience and demonstrate a high level of personal presentation.
  • Previous experience operating on the Dash 8 or similar aircraft is highly regarded.
  • Must satisfy one of the following English language proficiency requirements:
    • Completion of at least 3 years of secondary education in Australia or New Zealand.
    • Employment in Australia, New Zealand, UK, Ireland, or USA for 3 of the last 5 years.
    • Completion of IELTS with an overall score of 5.5.
