Cabin Crew Leader - Virgin Australia Regional Airlines

Virgin Australia Regional Airlines seeks a highly motivated and experienced Cabin Crew Leader to join their team in Perth. This individual will play a vital role in supporting, engaging, and driving the performance of a large, remote cabin crew team within a dynamic operational environment. This position requires a seasoned leader with a background in aviation or complex workforce management. The role is based between the Perth headquarters and Perth Airport (T1).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide effective leadership and engagement to foster a positive, high-performance culture amongst the cabin crew.
  • Coach, mentor, and proactively manage the performance of crew members.
  • Navigate Enterprise Agreements, Fair Work processes, and interactions with unions.
  • Oversee leave balances, rostering, and workforce planning to meet operational requirements.
  • Collaborate with manpower planning to ensure a robust pipeline of skilled cabin crew.

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Demonstrated experience leading large teams (100+ employees) within the aviation, transport, or another highly regulated industry.
  • Proven expertise in performance management and workplace investigations.
  • Experience working with HR and industrial relations professionals.
  • Ability to interpret and navigate Enterprise Agreements and communicate effectively with union representatives.
  • A natural leader with a proven ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with the capacity to connect with and inspire teams at all levels.
