Position Overview

The Leader Crew Culture - Sydney (Inflight Experience) is responsible for leading, supporting, coaching, and developing a team of customer service professionals across cabin operations. This role ensures compliance with all Virgin Australia Group policies, maximizing the team's potential and delivering memorable customer experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and inspire a team of approximately 130 team members.
  • Collaborate with Customer Experience Managers to ensure the team delivers a truly Virgin experience.
  • Proactively support and manage the health and well-being of all team members.
  • Work closely with leadership and People Partners to achieve positive outcomes on all people matters.
  • Develop and monitor team member performance in alignment with Virgin Australia's strategic vision and purpose.
  • Drive motivation and engagement, fostering an environment of strong teamwork.
  • Be responsive and solution-focused to emerging people matters impacting operational efficiency.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Minimum Year 12 qualifications or equivalent.
  • Proven leadership experience in leading large, diverse teams in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience leading remote workforces to achieve positive personal and business outcomes.
  • Aviation experience in cabin operations.
  • Trusted people leadership capability.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence and engage business leaders.
  • Strong emotional intelligence, with the ability to understand and respond to diverse behaviors to achieve positive outcomes.
  • Ability to drive positive customer outcomes through a large, diverse workforce.
  • Visible leadership skills.
  • A strong understanding of working within the scope of an Enterprise Bargaining Agreements.
  • Strong understanding of change management principles, techniques, and tools.
