Leader Crew Culture (Inflight Experience) - Melbourne

The Leader Crew Culture (Inflight Experience) role is pivotal in guiding, supporting, coaching, and developing a team of customer service professionals within cabin operations across Melbourne. This position ensures compliance with all Virgin Australia Group policies, maximizing the team's potential and delivering memorable experiences for every customer, every day.

Reporting directly to the Crew Culture Manager, the Leader Crew Culture will be responsible for monitoring team performance within the cabin operational environment. Additionally, this role will proactively manage the health and well-being of team members, ensuring their needs are met.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide visible leadership to a team of approximately 230 team members.
  • Collaborate with Customer Experience Managers to ensure the team delivers a truly Virgin experience.
  • Proactively support and manage the health and well-being of all team members and their needs.
  • Work closely with leadership and people partners to achieve positive outcomes on all people-related matters.
  • Develop and monitor team member performance aligned with Virgin Australia's strategic vision and purpose, taking proactive steps as needed.
  • Drive motivation and engagement, fostering an environment of strong teamwork.
  • Respond effectively and offer solutions-oriented approaches to emerging people matters that may impact the operational efficiency.
Essential Requirements:
  • Minimum Year 12 qualifications or equivalent.
  • Proven leadership experience in leading large, diverse teams in a fast-paced business environment.
  • Experience leading remote workforces to achieve positive personal and business outcomes.
  • Aviation experience within cabin operations.
  • Demonstrated trusted people leadership capabilities.
  • Proven ability to influence and engage business leaders.
  • Strong emotional intelligence, including the ability to read, monitor, and understand behaviours and respond to affect positive outcomes.
  • Ability to drive positive customer outcomes through a large, diverse workforce.
  • Visible leadership presence.
  • Comprehensive understanding of working within the scope of an Enterprise Bargaining Agreement.
  • Strong understanding of change management principles, techniques, and tools.
