As a Leader Crew Culture, you will play a crucial role in shaping the customer service experience, fostering a thriving team environment, and ensuring compliance with all Virgin Australia Group policies.
About the Role:
Reporting directly to the Crew Culture Manager, you will lead, support, coach, and develop a team of approximately 130 customer service professionals across cabin operations. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Visible Leadership: Providing clear direction and guidance to your team, promoting a culture of excellence and ensuring operational effectiveness.
- Collaboration: Working closely with Customer Experience Managers to ensure the delivery of a truly Virgin experience.
- Team Well-being: Proactively supporting and managing the health and well-being of all team members, addressing their needs and promoting a positive work environment.
- People Management: Collaborating with People Partners to effectively address all people-related matters, fostering a fair and supportive workplace.
- Performance Development: Guiding and developing team members to meet Virgin Australia's strategic vision and purpose, proactively addressing any performance gaps.
- Engagement and Motivation: Driving motivation and engagement within the team, fostering an environment of strong teamwork and collaboration.
- Problem Solving: Responding promptly and effectively to emerging people-related issues that may impact operational efficiency.
Essential Requirements:
- Minimum Year 12 qualifications or equivalent.
- Proven experience leading large and diverse teams in a fast-paced business environment.
- Demonstrated ability to lead remote workforces effectively, driving positive personal and business outcomes.
- Experience in aviation cabin operations, with a deep understanding of industry standards and practices.
- Exceptional people leadership capabilities, including trust-building, communication, and conflict resolution skills.
- Ability to influence and engage business leaders, promoting a collaborative and positive approach.
- Strong emotional intelligence, enabling effective reading, monitoring, and understanding of team member behaviors and needs.
- Proven ability to drive positive customer outcomes through a large and diverse workforce.
- Visible leadership qualities, inspiring and motivating others to achieve common goals.
- Thorough understanding of working within the scope of an Enterprise Bargaining Agreement.
- Strong knowledge of change management principles, techniques, and tools.
