The Opportunity: Leader Crew Culture Sydney (Inflight Experience)
This leadership role offers the opportunity to shape the Virgin Australia experience for both team members and passengers. Reporting to the Crew Culture Manager, the Leader Crew Culture will inspire and guide a team of approximately 130 cabin crew professionals, ensuring the delivery of exceptional customer service and fostering a positive and supportive work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide visible leadership and mentorship to a team of approximately 130 cabin crew members.
- Collaborate closely with Customer Experience Managers to ensure consistent delivery of the Virgin Australia brand promise.
- Proactively champion the health and well-being of team members, addressing their needs with empathy and understanding.
- Partner effectively with HR and leadership to achieve positive resolutions on all employee matters.
- Cultivate a high-performance culture by developing, monitoring, and enhancing team member performance in alignment with Virgin Australia’s strategic objectives.
- Foster a collaborative and engaged team environment, promoting strong teamwork and mutual support.
- Demonstrate agility and problem-solving skills in addressing emerging challenges that impact operational efficiency.
Qualifications:
- Minimum high school diploma or equivalent
- Proven leadership experience managing large, diverse teams within a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrated success leading remote workforces and achieving positive individual and organizational outcomes
- Prior experience in aviation cabin operations
- Exemplary people leadership capabilities
- Ability to influence and collaborate effectively with senior leadership
- Strong emotional intelligence, enabling insightful understanding and response to team member needs
- Proven ability to drive exceptional customer experiences through large, diverse teams
- Visible leadership presence and approach
- Solid understanding of Enterprise Bargaining Agreements
- Comprehensive knowledge of change management principles, techniques, and tools
