Senior Flight Instructor - United Aviate Academy
Position Summary:
The Senior Flight Instructor plays a critical role in shaping the next generation of airline pilots. This individual provides comprehensive ground, flight, and simulator training to aspiring Certified Flight Instructors (CFI) in accordance with Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regulations and United Aviate Academy standards. The Senior Flight Instructor ensures all students thoroughly understand and adhere to the highest standards of aviation safety while mastering the technical and instructional skills required for success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and effective instruction in both group and one-on-one settings, encompassing ground school, flight training, and simulator exercises.
- Maintain meticulous student training records in compliance with 14 CFR Part 141 and United Aviate Academy policies.
- Evaluate student progress, provide constructive feedback, and accurately document their development through detailed record-keeping.
- Champion the United Aviate Academy Aviation Safety Program, instilling a strong safety culture within each student.
- Collaborate with colleagues to refine existing curriculum and develop new course materials, ensuring alignment with FAA guidelines and industry best practices.
- Stay abreast of current FAA regulations, publications, and industry trends, maintaining the highest level of instructional proficiency.
- Contribute to the maintenance and safety of all training equipment, promptly reporting any concerns to the appropriate personnel.
- Foster a positive and supportive learning environment that encourages teamwork, respect, and a commitment to excellence.
Qualifications:
- FAA Certified Flight Instructor (CFI) certificate - current and valid.
- FAA Certified Flight Instructor Instrument (CFII) certificate - current and valid.
- Minimum of 24 months experience as a Certified Flight Instructor.
- Meet the requirements outlined in FAR Part 61.195(h)(1), FAR Part 61.195(h)(2), or FAR Part 61.195(h)(3).
- Current FAA First Class Medical Certificate.
- A proven track record of student success, demonstrated by a current pass rate of 80% or higher on practical flight tests.
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Aviation, Business Administration, or a related field.
