Phenom 300 Captain
The Phenom 300 Captain serves as Pilot-in-Command (PIC) and bears the ultimate responsibility for the safe operation of the aircraft. He or she ensures thorough knowledge of and adherence to all applicable FAA regulations, Company Flight Operations Manual, Operations Specifications, LOAs, and Flight Manuals.
Essential Functions:
- Conducts aircraft operations and related assignments in accordance with policies outlined in the General Operations Manual and Company Manuals.
- Ensures the accurate, timely, and neat completion of all flight, aircraft, and passenger records.
- Supervises other crewmembers in the performance of their duties.
- Ensures compliance with flight/duty time limitations and rest periods according to established policies.
- Must have successfully completed initial or recurrent training within the preceding 12 months.
- Reviews the Flight/Maintenance Log, Form MF-9/MR-10 (MR-9 or MR-10, as applicable), to verify aircraft airworthiness and coordinates with maintenance personnel for required maintenance.
- Ensures the proper preflight, post-flight, and routine servicing of the aircraft in accordance with established policies.
- Coordinates client requests for itinerary changes with the Operations Control Center.
- Performs the duties of Ground and In-flight Security Coordinators in accordance with 40 CFR 1544.215(b-c).
- Ensures that appropriate manuals, charts, and equipment are current and available on board the aircraft.
- Verifies that crewmembers and passengers possess valid passports, immunizations, visas, and clearances necessary for customs, immunizations, and agricultural inspections.
- Ensures that international arrivals and departures are conducted in compliance with all applicable regulations.
- Exercises operational control on behalf of the Director of Operations.
- Ensures that no person other than a flight crewmember is allowed to manipulate aircraft controls.
- Identifies, anticipates, and takes corrective action to minimize actual or potential delays related to scheduling operations, crew legality, and maintenance issues.
- Recommends process and communication improvements.
- Maintains strict confidentiality in all matters pertaining to client aircraft operations and sensitive security issues.
- Performs other TransMedics tasks and duties as necessary.
Background and Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3,000 hours total flight time.
- Minimum of 1,500 hours of Pilot-In-Command (PIC) time.
- Working knowledge of all Federal Aviation Regulations applicable to FAR Part 135 and Part 91.
- Basic computer proficiency in Microsoft Office, iOS, and other internet-based programs.
- Demonstrated strong verbal and written communication skills.
Certifications, Licenses, and Special Requirements:
- Must hold an EMB-505 Type Rating.
- Must possess an ATP Certificate.
- Must have a current First Class Medical Certificate and a clean record.
- Must possess a valid and unrestricted Passport.
- Must be able to pass a comprehensive background check.
