Phenom 300 Captain
The Phenom 300 Captain, reporting to the Chief Pilot, serves as the Pilot-in-Command (PIC) and holds final authority for the safe and efficient operation of the aircraft. This individual ensures strict adherence to all applicable FAA regulations, the Company Flight Operations Manual, Operations Specifications, Letters of Authorization, and Flight Manuals.
Essential Functions:
- Conducts all aircraft operations and related duties in accordance with the General Operations Manual and Company guidelines.
- Maintains accurate and timely flight, aircraft, and passenger records.
- Supervises and directs other crewmembers in their respective duties.
- Ensures compliance with flight/duty time limitations and rest period regulations.
- Maintains currency by completing initial or recurrent training within the preceding 12 months.
- Reviews Flight/Maintenance Logs to verify aircraft airworthiness and coordinates with maintenance personnel for any necessary actions.
- Oversees preflight, post-flight, and routine aircraft servicing according to established procedures.
- Communicates with the Operations Control Center to coordinate client itinerary adjustments.
- Fulfills the responsibilities of Ground and In-flight Security Coordinators as defined by 40 CFR 1544.215(b-c).
- Ensures all necessary manuals, charts, and equipment are up-to-date and readily available onboard the aircraft.
- Verifies that crewmembers and passengers possess valid passports, immunizations, visas, and clearances for customs, immunization, and agricultural inspections.
- Conducts international arrivals and departures in full compliance with all relevant regulations.
- Exercises operational control on behalf of the Director of Operations, and ensures that only qualified flight crew manipulate aircraft controls.
- Identifies, anticipates, and mitigates potential delays related to scheduling, crew legality, and maintenance.
- Recommends process and communication improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
- Maintains strict confidentiality regarding client aircraft operations and sensitive security information.
- Performs additional TransMedics tasks and duties as required.
Background and Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3,000 hours total flight time.
- Minimum of 1,500 hours of Pilot-in-Command (PIC) time.
- Comprehensive understanding of all Federal Aviation Regulations applicable to FAR Parts 135 and 91.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications including Microsoft Office, iOS, and various internet-based programs.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
Certifications, Licenses, and Special Requirements:
- Must possess an EMB-505 Type Rating.
- Must hold an Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) Certificate.
- Must possess a current First Class Medical Certificate and maintain a clean record.
- Must have a valid and unrestricted passport.
- Must successfully pass a comprehensive background check.
