Phenom 300 Captain
Job Summary:
The Phenom 300 Captain, acting as Pilot in Command (PIC), is ultimately responsible for the safe operation of the aircraft. This role necessitates a comprehensive understanding and strict adherence to all applicable regulations, including FAA regulations, Company Flight Operations Manual, Operations Specifications, Letters of Authorization (LOAs), and aircraft Flight Manuals.
Essential Functions:
- Execute aircraft operations and related assignments in accordance with established policies outlined in the General Operations Manual and Company Manuals.
- Ensure meticulous, timely, and accurate completion of all flight, aircraft, and passenger records.
- Supervise and guide other crew members in the performance of their duties.
- Uphold compliance with established flight/duty time limitations and rest periods, adhering to company policies.
- Possess current initial or recurrent training qualifications, completed within the preceding 12 months.
- Conduct thorough reviews of Flight/Maintenance Logs, Form MF-9/MR-10 (MR-9 or MR-10, as applicable), to guarantee aircraft airworthiness. Coordinate necessary maintenance with appropriate personnel.
- Oversee the preflight, post-flight, and routine servicing of the aircraft, ensuring adherence to established policies.
- Facilitate communication with the Operations Control Center to address client requests for itinerary changes.
- Perform the duties of Ground and In-flight Security Coordinators, complying with 40 CFR 1544.215(b-c).
- Ensure the presence and currency of all required manuals, charts, and equipment onboard the aircraft.
- Verify that crew members and passengers possess valid passports, immunizations, visas, and clearances necessary for customs, immunizations, and agricultural inspections.
- Guarantee compliance with applicable regulations for international arrivals and departures.
- Exercise operational control on behalf of the Director of Operations, ensuring that no unauthorized individuals manipulate aircraft controls.
- Proactively identify, anticipate, and address potential delays stemming from scheduling, crew legality, and maintenance issues.
- Offer recommendations for process and communication improvements.
- Maintain strict confidentiality concerning all client aircraft operations and sensitive or security-related matters.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by TransMedics.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3,000 hours of total flight time.
- Minimum 1,500 hours of Pilot-In-Command (PIC) experience.
- Demonstrated working knowledge of all Federal Aviation Regulations pertaining to FAR Part 135 and Part 91.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications, including Microsoft Office, iOS, and internet-based programs.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Certifications, Licenses, and Requirements:
- Valid EMB-505 Type Rating.
- Current ATP Certificate.
- Current First Class Medical Certificate with a clean record.
- Valid and unrestricted passport.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check.
