Tradewind Aviation is seeking a dedicated and professional full-time Pilatus PC-12 Pilot to join their esteemed team. The pilot will be responsible for ensuring safe and efficient flight operations as part of a formal two-pilot crew. They will uphold the company's commitment to safety and exceptional customer service.

Compensation and Benefits:

This position offers a competitive salary with a structured pay scale, including annual increases and bonuses. Most pilots earn above the starting salary of $50,000 per year. Additional compensation includes:

  • Volunteer Pay: $450 per day for SIC duties.
  • Per Diem: $3.21 per duty hour, both domestically and internationally.
  • Overnight Pay: $20 for domestic and $35 for international overnights.
  • Flight Duty Pay: An additional $125 per leg for all legs flown over leg 6.

Position-specific benefits include company-paid uniforms, paid housing when relocated from the base, Cockpit Access Security System (CASS), and Known Crewmember (KCM) program access (available for purchase). Pilots retain all hotel and frequent flyer points.

Qualifications:

Candidates must possess the following:

  • High School Diploma or GED. Aviation-related college degree is preferred but not required.
  • Successful completion of a Part 61 or 141 Flight Training Program.
  • Valid unrestricted driver's license.
  • Valid unrestricted passport.
  • FAA First Class Medical Certificate.
  • FAA Commercial Pilot Certificate with Airplane Single-Engine Land (ASEL).
  • FAA Instrument Rating.
  • FCC Restricted Radiotelephone Operator Permit.

Experience and Skills:

  • 800 hours total time preferred, 75 hours night preferred. CFI or CFII preferred.
  • Current IFR knowledge and experience.
  • Familiarity with Garmin 430 Avionics is preferred.
  • Previous customer service experience.

Reduced hour requirements are available for United Aviate participants (600, 500 or 300 hours total time depending on the program) and JetBlue participants (600 hours total time).

Physical Requirements:

The role requires the ability to stand, sit, talk, hear, and use hands to operate a computer. Specific vision abilities include close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. The position requires the ability to load and unload aircraft as necessary, and moderate to heavy lifting (up to 70lbs) may be required.

Location and Shift:

Operational bases are located at Waterbury–Oxford Airport (OXC), Westchester County Airport (HPN), Luis Muñoz Marín International Airport (SJU) and Stuart, FL (SUA). Candidates must be able to relocate within 90 minutes of the base. This position is not commutable, and there is no relocation package offered.

Schedules vary by base location, typically consisting of 4 days per week. Schedules are released up to 30 days in advance. Pilots are guaranteed 13 days off per month. Availability for assigned shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, is required.

Other Requirements:

Applicants must be at least 18 years of age and legally authorized to work in the United States. International candidates must be able to work and travel freely within and outside the United States, possess a valid green card, and hold a valid unrestricted foreign passport with appropriate visas.
