The Aircraft Maintenance Technician (AMT), specializing in Airframe, Avionics, or Structural disciplines, is responsible for utilizing the correct tools, methods, techniques, and equipment to perform essential aircraft maintenance. Working as a member of a maintenance crew, the AMT reports to an ACA, Crew Chief, or associated Lead.
Key responsibilities include:
- Performing maintenance work in accordance with established policies and specialized authorized procedures.
- Identifying and ordering necessary aircraft parts.
- Executing required computer entries and functions related to maintenance tasks.
- Signing for the performance of completed work.
- Adhering to company policies, procedures, and standards.
- Maintaining personal training and certification records.
- Promptly reporting any issues that could impact production or airworthiness.
- Ensuring compliance with airworthiness and safety policies, processes, and standards.
- Maintaining a safe and organized workplace environment.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Successful completion of a Transport Canada Accepted Aircraft Maintenance Training course or an Accredited Course.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Experience working on commercial or military aircraft is considered an asset.
- Capable of handling complex assignments requiring considerable judgment, initiative, and technical/specialized knowledge.
- Proven problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Proficiency in communication in both English and French.
- Exhibits strong and visible support for the company's core values.
- Experience in Line Maintenance within a fast-paced environment is preferred.

Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 70 lbs.
- Capability to work in confined spaces.
Working Conditions:
- Flexibility to work a variable schedule, including overtime and shift work, dictated by flight operations.
- Requirement to perform duties outdoors.
- Travel is required for the position.
- International travel may also be required.

Security Clearance Requirements:
This position requires Level 2 Clearance with the Canadian Government and the ability to gain access to the Canadian Controlled Goods Program.
