Aircraft Maintenance Technician (AMT)

Role Overview:
Top Aces is seeking a skilled and dedicated Aircraft Maintenance Technician (AMT). Employed as an Airframe, Avionics, or Structural Technician, the AMT is an integral working member of a maintenance crew, reporting to an ACA, Crew Chief, or associated Lead. This role requires the proficient use of correct tools, methods, techniques, and equipment to perform comprehensive aircraft maintenance tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Performs maintenance work in accordance with established policies and procedures, including specialized tasks for which suitable training and authorization have been obtained.
- Identifies and orders necessary aircraft parts and components.
- Executes required computer entries and functions related to maintenance activities.
- Provides sign-off for the performance of completed work.
- Ensures full compliance with company policies, procedures, and standards.
- Maintains personal maintenance records accurately.
- Promptly identifies and raises any issues that could potentially jeopardize production schedules or aircraft airworthiness.
- Ensures strict adherence to airworthiness and safety policies, processes, and standards.
- Maintains a safe and tidy workplace environment.
Education and Work Experience Requirements:
- Completion of a Transport Canada Accepted Aircraft Maintenance Training course or an Accredited Course is required.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Experience on commercial or military aircraft is considered a valuable asset.
- Capable of working on complex assignments that demand significant judgment, initiative, and technical/specialized knowledge.
- Proven ability to problem-solve and troubleshoot technical issues effectively.
- Ability to communicate proficiently in both English and French.
- Demonstrates strong and visible support of the company's core values (Service, Integrity, Excellence, Together).
- Experience in Line Maintenance within a fast-paced environment is preferred.
- Ability to perform all work in alignment with the company's Corporate Values.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 70 lbs.
- Ability to work in confined spaces when necessary.
Working Conditions:
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including overtime and shift work, dictated by flight operations.
- Will be required to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Travel is required for this position.
- International travel may also be required.

Security Clearance/CGP/ITAR:
- Position requires Level 2 Clearance with the Canadian Government.
- Ability to gain access to the Canadian Controlled Goods Program is necessary.
