P-8A Pilot Instructor

Boeing Defence UK seeks two highly qualified and experienced P-8A Pilot Instructors to join their expanding training team at the P-8A Training Centre in RAF Lossiemouth, Scotland. This individual will report to the Boeing P-8A Training Delivery Manager through the Lead Pilot Instructor, focusing on the delivery of simulator training for P-8 pilot customer programs. The successful candidate will possess demonstrable expertise within the defense flying training domain as a qualified flight training instructor. Prior experience with the P-8A is highly desirable, as is previous Boeing 737 type rating experience. The ideal candidate will be a multi-engine fixed wing Pilot, preferably with prior military experience, along with significant experience in large aircraft, multi-engine, and multi-crew operations. A B737 Type Rated Instructor (TRI) or Simulator Flight Instructor (SFI) certification is essential. A completed Aircrew Instructors' Course (AIC) or equivalent civilian certification is also required.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Delivering P-8A simulator and ground training adhering to company standards, customer specifications, and MAA regulatory guidelines.
  • Developing and implementing simulator and ground school pilot instruction.
  • Creating training tools and methodologies to meet customer requirements.
  • Applying both instructor-led and computer-based training techniques.
  • Coordinating training, utilizing standardized teaching approaches, conducting demonstrations, and implementing evaluation procedures to ensure compliance with military and civilian regulatory standards and contractual obligations.
  • Evaluating student competence in accordance with company and customer regulatory requirements.
  • Identifying and rectifying situations and actions that may compromise employee, public, or customer safety, while actively promoting a strong safety culture.
  • Performing other relevant duties as assigned.

Essential Requirements:

  • B737 Type Rated Instructor (TRI) or Simulator Flight Instructor (SFI) certification.
  • Completion of Aircrew Instructors' Course (AIC) or civilian equivalent.
  • Exceptional communication skills for interacting with diverse personnel.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Proven skills in data collection, analysis, summarization, and the development of recommendations from data.
  • Possession of other appropriate background, experience, and qualifications may be considered.
  • Ability to obtain UK Security Clearance.
