UH-60 Blackhawk Flightline Non-Rated Crewmember (NRCM) Flight Instructor

Location: Annville, PA (Fort Indiantown Gap)

Leidos is seeking a highly motivated and experienced UH-60 Blackhawk Flightline Non-Rated Crewmember (NRCM) Flight Instructor to support the Army National Guard (ANG) Aviation Training Services and Operational Support (ATSOS) program. This role is based in Annville, PA, at Fort Indiantown Gap. Leidos serves as the prime contractor for this program, providing essential flight training, simulation training, classroom instruction, and schoolhouse support, including the integration of the One Army School System (OASS) and Aviation Life Support Equipment (ALSE) maintenance.

The Opportunity

The Integrated Airborne Solutions (IAS) Division of the Airborne Systems Business Area offers an exciting opportunity for an NRCM Flight Instructor to directly support the Army Aviation Training Site (AATS) mission. The NRCM Flight Instructor will perform flight and academic training in the UH-60 Blackhawk, contributing directly to the AATS student training objectives. This role involves active participation in the unit aircrew training program and utilizes extensive experience in supporting the ATSOS program.

Responsibilities

The UH-60 Blackhawk Flightline Non-Rated Crewmember (NRCM) Flight Instructor will be responsible for:

  • Maintaining training records for formal course students and updating Aircrew Training Program (ATP) records as required for unit, readiness level (RL) progression trainees.
  • Providing instruction and evaluation to students in accordance with Training Support Packages for AATS approved courses of instruction.
  • Delivering Aircrew Coordination Training-Enhanced (ACT-E) instruction in accordance with approved course Training Support Packages.
  • Conducting daily academic instruction covering regulations and publications, aircraft systems, mission planning, and aircraft maintenance, aligning with course Training Support Packages.
  • Facilitating pre-mission planning and conducting after-action reviews for all flight and simulation periods.
  • Completing all Aircrew Training Program (ATP) requirements as mandated by DCMA INST 8210-1D, AR 95-1, and the applicable Digital Aircrew Training Module (dATM).
  • Coordinating daily tasks and requirements of contract employees, such as work schedules and leave, to meet AATS missioned training requirements and support schoolhouse accreditation, as directed by AATS chains of command.
  • Ensuring compliance with appropriate Army, National Guard, and AATS policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Reporting Instructor Flight and Operation data as required in the Task Order Monthly Report.

Required Qualifications

Candidates for this position should possess the following qualifications:

  • A High School Diploma with at least 8 years of relevant experience, or a Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 4 years of experience.
  • Ability to satisfactorily complete the unit aircrew training program within a maximum of 9 months from the start of employment.
  • Possession of an FAA Second Class flight physical or the option of maintaining either an annual FAA Second Class Medical Certificate or an Army Class 2 Flight Duty Medical Examination (FDME) for Army Contractor pilots.
  • Successful completion of an Instructor Training Course (ITC) or Army Basic Instructor Course (ABIC), or the ability to successfully graduate from an AATS provided ABIC course within 12 months of the contractor employee start date.
  • Ability to meet instructor qualification requirements as defined by the Aviation proponent and in accordance with TR 350-10 and TR 350-70.
  • Ability to meet all Army initial aircraft qualifications and recurrent training requirements per AR 95-1 and the applicable aircraft Digital Aircrew Training Module (dATM) (DCMA 8210.1D, para 4.3.4.3).
  • Satisfactory completion of an Annual Proficiency and Readiness Test (APART) in accordance with the applicable dATM (e.g., CH-47/UH-60 dATM), unit ATP, DCMA INST 8210-1D, and AR95-1 is mandatory.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

Ideal candidates will also have:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite Products.
  • Prior instructor experience at EAATS, HAATS, WAATS, or the U.S. Army Aviation Training Center.
  • Previous Aircrew Coordination Training-Enhanced (ACT-E) qualification and sustainment training in accordance with TC 3-04.11.

Pay Range: $63,700.00 - $115,150.00
