Ground & Simulation Instructor - Join the Bell Training Academy Team
Bell Textron Inc. is seeking an experienced and motivated Ground & Simulation Instructor to join their dynamic team at the Bell Training Academy in Fort Worth, Texas.
About the Role:
The Ground & Simulation Instructor plays a critical role in educating clients and customers on the intricacies of Bell aircraft. This involves delivering comprehensive instruction on aircraft systems, flight planning, and in-flight operations. Utilizing a variety of training methods including classroom settings, advanced training devices, and cutting-edge flight simulators, the instructor provides a dynamic and engaging learning experience.
This position offers the unique opportunity to travel worldwide, delivering academic and flight training to Bell’s global customer base. The Ground & Simulation Instructor will be an integral part of a high-performing team, collaborating closely with both customers and fellow employees.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and informative academic ground instruction and simulator training to customers, encompassing both visual and instrument flight procedures.
- Collaborate with the team to develop and refine flight and ground training courseware, ensuring content remains current and relevant.
- Maintain strict compliance with all applicable Aviation Authority requirements.
- Be adaptable and prepared to travel domestically and internationally as dictated by customer needs.
- Demonstrate flexibility by working shifts outside of the standard 8am-5pm schedule as required to meet business demands.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 5 years of demonstrable experience in Helicopter Aviation.
- Possession of a Commercial Rotorcraft license.
- Certified Flight Instructor/Certified Flight Instructor Instrument (CFI/CFII) rating, with AGI certification required for ground instructors.
- A minimum of 2000 hours total flight time in helicopters.
- At least 750 hours logged as an instructor pilot.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel and MS Project.
- A spotless aviation record with no revocations of any pilot's license by the FAA or other regulatory agencies.
- A highly motivated and disciplined individual with a proven ability to meet department objectives.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential.
- A proactive and detail-oriented approach to work, with a strong focus on achieving goals.
- Ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in aviation or a related field.
- Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) - Rotorcraft certification.
- Night Vision Goggle (NVG) qualification.
- 500 hours of instrument flight experience.
- Strong familiarity with a range of Bell products.
- Fluency in more than one language is highly desirable.
