Job Description

TSC is seeking a full time, on-site Chief Pilot to manage our domestic and international manned aircraft fleet based in Plymouth, Massachusetts. This position is ideal for a passionate aviation professional who wants to support an established, efficient, highly technical growing flight department.

Responsibilities:

  • Enforces operational standards of all company flight operations manuals across all aircraft and ensures compliance by all assigned company pilots
  • Implements and administers company standard operating procedures to ensure the highest standards of safety and quality of service
  • Directs and guides flight operations to ensure they are conducted in accordance with established company practices and procedures and in compliance with applicable government and contract regulations
  • Ensures that flights are manned by technically competent and legally qualified crew members to include review and approval of contracted pilots
  • Supervises activities and performance of company pilots and provides periodic written evaluations
  • Pilots aircraft as required to include mission planning, aircrew mobilization, weather decisions, airspace coordination and safe operation of the company’s aircraft
  • Ensures each aircraft is properly equipped with aeronautical charts, navigational aids, etc. required for safe flight through various vendor subscriptions
  • Documents aircraft discrepancies and reports equipment malfunctions to appropriate personnel in a timely manner
  • Maintains records of activities, flight logs and training in accordance with company and FAA requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Commercial Pilot, Airplane Multi-Engine Land (MEL) with instrument rating
  • Second class medical certificate
  • Current Passport with no travel restrictions
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to maintain good working relationships
  • Ability to provide exemplary references as a professional aviator
  • Read, write, speak, and understand English
  • COVID 19 Vaccine required

Flight Time Requirements:

When evaluating the flight time of applicants meeting the basic qualifications, consideration will be given to, quality, quantity, recent experience, and verifiability of training; complexity of aircraft flown; types of flight operations; and hours flown as PIC in turbine powered aircraft. Applicants invited to interview must provide appropriate documentation of all flight hours.

  • Minimum of 1500 hours of total documented flight time
  • Minimum of 1000 hours of total Pilot in Command time
  • Minimum of 500 hours MEL

Preferred Flight Experience:

  • 2000+ hours of total documented flight time
  • 1500 hours of total Pilot in Command time
  • 1000 Multi-Engine hours
  • 250 hours in turbine-powered aircraft
  • 100 hours of instrument (actual) time
  • Flying experience in surveillance operations or similar mission profiles

Travel Required:

  • Travel required for up to 30 days at a time.

Salary Range:

$90,000 - $120,000
