We are currently seeking a qualified Chief Pilot to join our leadership team.
Role Overview
The Chief Pilot is responsible for overseeing flight crew records, ensuring flight time limitations are observed, and maintaining pilot qualifications in accordance with FAA regulations (14 CFR Part 119.65(d)(3)). This role is essential for maintaining legal compliance and ensuring safe, efficient flight operations.
Key Responsibilities

Maintain FAA-approved master records for all crewmembers, aircraft, and company flight operations.

Manage and revise company manuals in accordance with FAA requirements.

Establish, maintain, and conduct crewmember standardization and training procedures to ensure safety and proficiency.

Oversee the procurement, scheduling, and assignment of flight crewmembers.

Ensure all crewmembers meet the requirements of 14 CFR Part 121 prior to assignment.

Conduct or appoint approved check pilots to manage qualification, proficiency, and instrument check flights.

Monitor flight crew status to proactively manage currency requirements, physicals, and training due dates.

Act as a line captain, maintaining current qualifications and flight check status.

Provide leadership in flight operations, including policy formulation, disciplinary counseling, and organizational culture development.

Utilize Safety Management System (SMS) and Safety Risk Management (SRM) methods for process improvements.

Participate in test flights as required and maintain constant communication with the Director of Operations and company leadership.
Required Qualifications

Must meet qualification standards as defined in 14 CFR Part 119.67(b) and 14 CFR Part 119.65(d).

Comprehensive understanding of aviation safety standards, 14 CFR Chapter 1 (FARs), company Operations Specifications, and airworthiness standards.

Proficiency in administrative procedures, file management, and office software systems.

Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and maintain strict confidentiality.

Proven ability to read, speak, and understand the English language.

Must possess a valid driver’s license.

Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

Demonstrated interest or experience in aviation training technologies.
Physical and Environmental Requirements

Physical Demands:
This is a sedentary role requiring the ability to exert up to 10 lbs. of force occasionally. Tasks involve sitting for extended periods and occasional walking or standing.

Requires the ability to perform clerical and administrative duties, including extensive data analysis, reading, and computer work.

Environmental Conditions:
Work is performed primarily indoors with protection from weather conditions.
