Responsibilities
As a pilot representing SWISS, the Direct Entry First Officer will work collaboratively with the entire cabin crew to ensure guests reach their destinations safely and punctually. This role carries significant responsibility for the aircraft, crew, passengers, and cargo.
- Operate SWISS aircraft in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to standards of punctuality, economy, and high-quality service for all guests.
- Execute flight preparations and operations in accordance with SWISS guidelines and regulations.
- Liaise effectively with the flight crew, ground personnel, and air traffic control.
- Provide comprehensive support and act as a deputy to the Captain in all operational matters.
- Continuously and independently maintain and enhance professional knowledge and skills.

Qualifications and Requirements
To be considered for the Direct Entry First Officer A330 position at SWISS, candidates must meet the following essential criteria:
In addition to a completed education equivalent to a Swiss Matura/Abitur, a HF diploma, a general university entrance qualification, or a university of applied sciences entrance qualification, candidates must possess:
- An ATPL(A), CPL(A)/IR with ATPL(A) theory, or MPL license (EASA Part-FCL).
- A valid Multi Engine Instrument Rating (IR) with PBN (Performance-Based Navigation) endorsement.
- A minimum of 1500 flight hours in Multi-Pilot Aircraft (MPA) operations, with a Maximum Take-Off Weight (MTOW) exceeding 35 tons at the time of employment.
- A current Medical Class 1 certificate.
- A meticulously documented flight record, including logbooks and licenses.
- Swiss citizenship or a valid EU-27/EFTA passport.
- Excellent command of German (minimum B2 level certification if not a native or everyday language) and good English proficiency (minimum ICAO Level 4).
- An impeccable criminal record check.
- Willingness to undergo vaccinations as required for flights within Switzerland, including COVID-19 and Yellow Fever.
- A height range of 160-198 cm.
- A maximum age of 56 years, in accordance with the Collective Labour Agreement (GAV).
