Corporate Pilot - Phenom 300e - Sioux City, IA
Sterling is seeking a highly motivated and experienced First Officer to join their flight department in a dynamic and rewarding role based in the Sioux City, IA area. This is a unique opportunity to operate a 2018 Phenom 300e, providing exceptional service to company leadership and playing a key role in driving business success.
The Ideal Candidate:
The ideal candidate is safety-oriented with a positive, enthusiastic, and goal-driven attitude. Exceptional organizational skills and a strong commitment to safety are paramount, along with the ability to lead and manage day-to-day flight department activities. The candidate must be flexible and willing to work nights, weekends, and occasional holidays to accommodate a dynamic client schedule. This position anticipates 200-250 flying hours per year and requires residency within a 2-hour call-out time of Sioux City, IA.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the Captain in all aspects of flight preparation, execution, and completion, adhering to company and regulatory standards.
- Conduct thorough pre-flight checks, including meticulous review of weather conditions, flight plans, and aircraft systems.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of current FAA regulations and operational/weight-and-balance limitations of the aircraft.
- Ensure a safe and comfortable flight experience for all passengers, prioritizing their needs and resolving any issues efficiently and professionally.
- Communicate effectively with air traffic control, ground personnel, and passengers.
- Adhere to all aviation regulations and company policies during flight operations.
- Participate actively in post-flight debriefings and meticulously complete all necessary documentation.
Required Qualifications:
- FAA Commercial Pilot License with Multi-Engine and Instrument Rating.
- Type rating in Phenom 300 (or willingness to obtain).
- Minimum 2000 hours total flight time, including 500 multi-engine hours and 200 hours on twin-turbine aircraft.
- Strong understanding of FAA regulations and aviation safety standards.
- Proven experience in flight department management or a similar leadership capacity.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
- Ability to thrive under pressure, making quick, informed decisions.
- Current Second-Class Medical.
- Valid Driver's License.
- Ability to successfully complete a comprehensive background investigation, including FBI fingerprints, criminal history records check, national driver's record check, and a pre-employment drug test.
- Clean flight record with no previous incidents or accidents.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience as First Officer or Captain on the Phenom 300.
- Experience with SMS (Safety Management System) implementation and management.
- Familiarity with aviation maintenance management systems.
- EMB-505 Single Pilot Type Rating.
- ATP Pilot Certificate.
- Experience flying midsize or super-midsize jet aircraft.
- Single-pilot experience.
- Associate's degree in Aviation, Business Management, or a related field.
