Essential Responsibilities and Duties
The Gulfstream G600 Captain is entrusted with the paramount responsibility for the safe, efficient, and professional operation of the Gulfstream G600 aircraft. Key duties include, but are not limited to:
- Ensuring the safe and prudent conduct of all flights, adhering strictly to Solairus Aviation policies, procedures, and all applicable Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs).
- Performing comprehensive pre-flight inspections in strict accordance with the approved Aircraft Flight Manual.
- Diligently reviewing aircraft maintenance status prior to each flight.
- Conducting thorough evaluations of weather conditions and airport facilities along the planned route, including designated alternate airports.
- Guaranteeing the utmost safety and comfort for all passengers, crew, and the aircraft throughout all operational phases.
- Accurately completing all required trip paperwork and documentation in accordance with established procedures.
Minimum Qualifications
Prospective candidates must meet stringent experience and certification requirements, demonstrating a robust background in aviation:
Flight Hour Requirements:
- Total Time: 3,000 hours
- Pilot-in-Command (PIC): 1,500 hours
- Multi-Engine Land (MEL): 1,500 hours
- Multi-Engine Land Pilot-in-Command (MEL PIC): 500 hours
- Time in Turbo Jet Aircraft: 500 hours
- Instrument Flight Time: 250 hours
Specific Certifications and Requirements:
- Possession of a current Type Rating on the Gulfstream G600 or a comparable sophisticated aircraft is essential.
- A valid First-Class FAA Medical Certificate is required.
- The ability to operate on an on-call basis is mandatory, reflecting the dynamic nature of private aviation.
- Completion of annual ICAO International procedures training is a prerequisite.
- Candidates must either reside within a three-hour drive of Morristown Municipal Airport (KMMU) or be willing to relocate to the area.
